Ortiz accepted a verbal offer from Whyte to fight on the 22nd. After Ortiz accepted, Whyte withdrew the offer.

This is what happened and now you are pretending it didn't because it doesn't reflect well on Whyte. A better course of action from Whyte fans would be to just stfu. Making up a story just exposes you as a buffoon.

So there was no attempt of negotiating from either side. Confirms what i said they both did the exact same thing and chose different opponents, Ortiz chose his usual proper scraping the barrel level.

Why would Whyte take on Ortiz when chisora probably makes him double the $?

From Ortiz perspecve he has to take a big pay cut to make it viable. I still think Ortiz is better off on the card on 22nd though (against a Takam?) rather than wilder undercard; he wants to build himself up to the uk market and try and make himself big enough for a Joshua fight.

He does need to actually impress this time around though !
