College football doesnt start the bowl games till the third week of december so Dec 1, 8 and 15 would have all been great dates for cards.

I guess they blew their budget and they probably had to blow some of their budget financing the Wilder-Fury cards minimums. It makes sense when you look at the weak undercard and how cheap it is.
Last year they only had Wilder/Stiverne 2 card, and the Charlo/Lubin, Hurd/Trout card in the same period.

What ShoBox cards indicate is that A) Showtime is still in the business and B) ShoBox is where the future champions emerge to later go on to World Championship boxing matches.

PBC signed a new 3 year deal with SHO that will begin in Jan 2019 with at least one PBC card per month. Even in the dormant months they usually don't go for (Sep-Oct-Nov-Dec) they will air boxing.

Both PBC (SHO-FOX) deals really don't kick off until the end of the year/beginning of next year.

Right, par for the course for the most part. And Espinoza always mentions how he wants to slow down during this stretch. That's why he loads the first half of the year schedule. I just don't agree that you can't do good numbers during this time of the year as you absolutely can.

never this slow. always had least one card in October or November. Usually November.

Not a good look to give boxing fans one card in 4 moths.

Wrong. U left out AJ vs Takam. Three cards in 4 months is a lot more than a single card in 4 months.

Wrong. And even if it was true last year they would have done double the cards as this year with one being a tripleheader. Stevenson-Gvozdyk is supposed to be a doubleheader.

But u guys left out Joshua-Takam.

As far as I can remember Espinoza has put on 1 card in Oct/Nov at least plus 1-2 in December.

Dropping to one card from mid September to at least mid January (at least a 4 month period) is a big cut in programming.

And remember Pac-Broner is sho ppv so showtime doesn’t do a card on 1/12 then the end of January is the soonest possible card.

again not true. Shoboc are mostly non Haymon fighters and have low budgets. Prograis Barachuk all the GH3 fighters, Banner, Devin Haney etc aren’t pbc.

A lit of those guys will be headed to DAZN or espn
