Is it going away? Since 9/8 for Garcia-Porters we haven't had a single card and they only have one more this year, Stevenson-Gvozdyk. So the last 3 1/2 months of the year just one single card? I know they said that next year they are going to do one fight card a month but it seems like they badly spaced their cards out this year....

SHO slows down during college football season, but this is one of the thing I argue against. I've seen cards during this time of the year do good numbers. Granted, Jacobs/Derevyanchenko just did disgusting numbers but that could be because Jacobs doesn't have a big name and no one knows who Derevyanchenko is.
I agree though, they should have put on more cards to end the year. They usually do a few cards in the December. Only will do one card plus PPV on the same though. FOX has one card in December so maybe that took away from a potential card they were going to put on.Comment

This new extended three year deal with Showtime requires the PBC to add more PPVs than usual. In total, the PBC is obligated to produce at least 30 live shows a year for Showtime with a lot of them being Pay Per View shows.Comment

It is only one card in 2nd half of Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec. That is pathetic. They usually have a card or two in Sept, skip October with College Football and the World Series, do a card in November and 1-2 in December. College football doesnt start the bowl games till the third week of december so Dec 1, 8 and 15 would have all been great dates for cards.SHO slows down during college football season, but this is one of the thing I argue against. I guess they blew their budget and they probably had to blow some of their budget financing the Wilder-Fury cards minimums. It makes sense when you look at the weak undercard and how cheap it is.Comment
