Canelo has an outstanding resume, he fought everyone

Golovkin has a very poor resume, and has passed on NUMEROUS fights he should have taken

      you are talking bollocks
Why are you making this a Canelo vs GGG discussion?

I said BOTH guys will swerve Jacobs & Charlo in 2019.

That new deal for Canelo is not going to hold up if he loses.

There is a reason he is going to 168 instead of fighting Lemiuex or someone else in December. 160 is getting dangerous just like 154 was when he went to Caneloweight (only coming back down for Liam Smith). It's a very smart play by GBP.

His tough match up won't come until 2020 after 3 or 4 DAZN paydays

oh please, Lemieux is a fkn scrub, who wants to see that fight

I don't believe that there is ANY truth in your cool story bro

Canelo is cherry-picking a " title " at SMW..... that is all

Canelo has fought EVERYONE, and will obviously continue to do so

whereas Golovkin has avoided EVERYONE, and will obviously continue to do so..... I don't see your razor-sharp mind picking up on that fact, for some reason

Canelo is a superstar, because he fought everyone..... and he will only remain a superstar, IF he continues to fight everyone

THAT is why Golovkin - despite having a supposed fan-friendly style - cannot draw flies to shlt.....

pacfans insisted that Mayweather was stalling the fight

but when it became REALLY obvious that Pac/Arum were stalling that fight..... pacfans started to blame "both" guys.....

I saw the same thing happening with Wilder/Joshua

the muppets were blaming Wilder..... but now that it is clearly obvious that Joshua/Hearn are delaying that fight..... Joshua fans are blaming "both" guys

          is that happening again..... ?

And this is exactly why I said GGG should retire.

He's 36, he has no business fighting young lions like The Charlos at this stage of his career. He's no longer great

He was for the better part of a decade, the most feared guy in boxing, ducked by all contenders, and when he finally got his shot beat (in the eyes of 90% of the public in both fights) a P4P level talent.

He can only hurt his legacy right now by either ducking worthy contenders to hold out for big money fights or lose to guys who wouldn't have lasted with him in his prime.

              hook..... line..... and sinker

              what bollocks

they took the (easy) fights they wanted, and they passed on the rest

FACT: Golovkin passed on many BETTER fights than he accepted

              from the other thread.....

Danny and I never make a decision without us talking it over with Al and checking on his insight. Al doesn’t do anything without me knowing about it and I don’t do anything without Al knowing about it. We always do what’s best for Danny as a team. Al and I usually agree on things 99.9 percent of the time. We never make any major decisions without both of us agreeing on it.”

“At the end of the day, Al and I always have the same equation with all of these fighters,” said Connolly. “We give them the best advice that we can, and, ultimately, we always allow them to do what they think is in the best interest of their careers.

              and there it is.....

newer fans need to take note:

FACT: fighters have the last word on their career path

they sign off on EVERY fight, and EVERY opponent

to suggest otherwise is utter bollocks

I first noticed the " but Arum doe " excuses with Pacquiao

to justify Pac's shltty Top Rank in-house opponent selection

then I saw that excuse shift to Haymon, and others

              what utter bollocks

every single fighter is 100% responsible - therefore accountable - for their own resume

for proof (as if you need proof to justify common-sense).....

you hear lower-level/older fighters turning down offers all the time

you also hear about fighters like Garcia being shelved or waiting out their contract..... again, that happens ALL THE TIME

you guys who have become accustomed to blaming promoters for your guys SHlTTY opponent selection are.....

please god, let the casual-fan nonsense stop

You must like have Google Alerts for anything GGG related or something. I mean, it hasn't even been 30 minutes since I posted the quote.

If hating GGG isn't your job, then I really feel sorry for you, dude.

NOBODY believes that corny bullshlt anymore

                  Golovkin is a never-was..... just smoke-n-mirrors

which is why he does not have a signature win on his resume

you believed the bullshlt..... but the bullshlt has been exposed

just a puncher..... straight up and down, no special effects

                  just like Mayweather said

I bet the fact that Mayweather was right REALLY pisses you off

As far as him fighting Charlo he doesn't have to. He isn't ordered to fight him by anyone so that's his choice. I have no problem with him fighting anyone he wants at age 36 and he is no longer a title holder. If he can make some money in the twilight of his career it's not a bad look at all. For crying out loud Mayweater fought Berto and McGregor in his last two fights. As far as Charlo goes he's not screaming that Golovkin isn't fighting him is he? No he's taking on a guy that is shop worn and he will KO by mid fight or sooner. I personally think Charlo got screwed by losing his place in line to fight Canelo because the WBC is up to no good.
The WBC ordered Charlo vs Golovkin buddy. Then Golovkin announced that he wasn't fighting until next March/April. Charlo is taking a stay busy fight in the interim. Ohhh and Loeffler just said in an interview that they WON'T fight Charlo. Where have you been?

Also in boxing, when you win a close fight where you're not the clear victor, rematches occur. Jacobs asked for a rematch and was told no, because they were focusing on Alvarez. When Alvarez dropped out the May fight, Jacobs was not called for May 5th. He could have easily dropped the Sulecki fight.

Yes I would love to see that fight. Hopefully he goes in that direction. GGG seems like he is just hunting money right now but we will see.
