When this fight was officially announced, I said on this forum, it was going to be a tough fight for Jacobs. And I predicted Jacobs would win a very close decision. He had a solid amateur background and a 77% KO percentage as a pro. Fundamentally sound fighter that is an avoided fighter like Jacobs said. Credit to Jacobs for taking this fight. Unfortunately the guy will get avoided even more now.

Scorecards were pretty bad...
Jacobs clearly won either 7 or 8 rounds. I had it 116-111. Harold Letterman, who gets unfairly criticized, had the best scorecard and was spot on the entire fight.
There's no way Derevyachenko won more than 6 rounds.Comment

It was a good fight. Coulda went either way, but probably did go the right way. This fight showed me that Jacobs isn't as good as I though he was. He would get schooled by Canelo and/or Jermall Charlo. Derevyanchenko isn't that great and he gave Danny all he could handle.
At middleweight there is Canelo and Charlo and then everyone else.Comment

You gggroupies are so fcking biased I swear. Whenever ggg constantly fights smaller fighters you can care less, but when he gets taken to the brink by a b+ fighter you cry that he supposedly somehow defied the laws of physics & gained like 30+ lbs in 1 night. Ggg & jacobs were almost the same weight in that fight regardless of fanboi false narratives,& he was trying to cherrypick Murata who as usual is smaller than him, rather than face Charlo whos bigger as he's mandated to do. Because ggg is 1 giant cherrypicking püssy who hates fighting AA or ANYONE bigger than him or even his size unless their complete bums...Comment
