When Sam Peter fights and wins convincingly against a legimate opponent, then I'll jump on this bandwagon. It's hard to get excited when you watch him get into the ring against Julius Long whose only purpose was to survive and get a paycheck.
If Peter can beat(knockout)a James Toney, Danny Williams, Calvin Brock, Shannon Briggs, John Ruiz, or someone else on that level; then I'll be a believer.
Peter is another Tua, unable to beat any decent fighter with a good jab. While Klitschko was rocked more than once in the fight, he was hit on several occassions with illegal rabbit punches from a frustrated Peter who was unable to land anything clean. Not to mention that when Klitschko landed the right in the final round, he almost took Peter off his feet. It was an ugly fight, but Klitschko won at least 8 rounds.

I actually called Peter the next David Tua in an article I wrote recently.
Peter was one combo away from stopping the fight in the 5th round, but he was completely out of gas. He spent everything he had because he was poorly conditioned.
Even later in the fight he scored another KD and had Wlad on ***** street but he couldn't put any punches together. All he could do was load up a shot at a time.
Peter was completely out of gas after the 5th round. If he was conditioned and could have put punches together, he could have easilly won that fight with how badly he had Wlad hurt.
I disagree. he was not out of gas in the first 6 rounds and wlad wasnt seriously hurt in the 5th. he was hurt in the 10th but peter just doesnt have the ability to throw combinations. there was nothing wrong with his conditioning,,,he looked in good shape but was fighting a much higher caliber opponent who was punishing him with the jab. if he was more polished and threw accurate combinations he probably would have stopped wlad,,,but he just doesnt have that ability

As usual, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Peter's conditioning is one of his biggest problems. Just watch him between rounds any time after the 3rd. His mouth is hanging open and he's panting. He was completely gassed after the 5th, and was only throwing single shots.
And LOL at "Wlad wasn't hurt in the 5th". He had no legs for the majority of the round.

Unreal.
here we go again. everyone is clueless when they dont agree with you. peter did not look exhausted in the 1st 6 rounds. late in the fight yes. that knockdown in the 5th was more of a push to the back of the head. the last knockdown was the only real legit knockdown and yes was wlad in trouble at that point. as far as condtioning peter is a big man and may never have good stamina but he wasnt out of shape. his stomach looked tight and his weight was lower than in most of his previous fights
