absolutely. he is a tua clone. he is bigger and stronger than tua,,,but usually throws just one punch at a time and doesnt throw enough punches. his stamina and strength will give a lot of fighters trouble but he just doesnt have the ability to be a dominating champion

Watch the round again. Before both knock downs in the 5th Wlad is hurt with a big shot and has no legs.

The 1st knock down he's clearly hurt by a big shot and then grabs on to peter and tries to move past him. Peter punches him as he's doing this and it lands on the back of his head. Clearly his own fault as advancing past Peter is turning away from your opponent.

2nd knock down in the 5th. Wlad is hurt with a big left hook. He runs 5 paces back, and bends at both knees akwardly. Peter goes to hit him and he falls. Once again, his own fault, and due to being hurt.

In both cases he was hurt. You suggested otherwise and were wrong. He was clearly hurt at several points in the 5th round.

Peter was CLEARLY gassed after that 5th round. He was huffing and puffing with his mouth open, and throwing single shots.

He was poorly conditioned, and at that point had been as far as 7 rounds just twice.

          Not just beats, but ko's.
Wlad figured him out and knows exactly how to beat the guy.

....Your dead on and I would be willing to bet 5 billion on a Wlad stoppage of Peter as well.

The only reason Wlad survived that fight was because Peter was too out of gas to put a combo together. Even with single punc-at-a-time power shots he dropped him 3 times.

It wasnt just conditioning, it was lack of skills. Nobody he ever faced could move around and jab like Wlad. He didnt know what to do. I say Wlad stops next time. He should've countered those wild shots that Peter threw.

wlad's excessive clinching led to the illegal rabbit punches? i'm not ******, so i will not be buying into that BS. was sykes and martinez doing the same thing? really, it doesn't matter anyways. it really shouldn't matter even if the opponent is clinching in excess - you should never try to cheat by rabbit punching.

fact is, and it is a fact, samuel peter rabbit punches in every fight. i've seen him fight about half a dozen times. if that doesn't indicate a trend, i'm not sure what would.

i would tend to agree with wladimir stopping peter a second time around. wk wasn't even going for a knockout and had stunned peter. imagine if klitschko would've let his hands go just a bit more.

i would also be willing to bet on a possible stoppage, if not points win for wk in a rematch.

...Excellent post and it pretty much sums up the BS rabbit punching theories nicely.

It wasn't just the clinching. It was having no legs under him and wildly moving around.

It blows me away how some of you can't get past the fact he was dropped three times in the fight.

Yes Peter rabbit punches, but in the 5th round both times Wlad went down he had zero legs under him and was desperatly trying to get out of the way of an oncoming punch. It's as clear as day if you watch it again, and the referee is at the perfect vantage point to see exactly what's going on.

One thing I did notice is that Lamply is crying about it as it's happening (cluesless as ususal) and there's no doubt that where all of this excuse making started. As usual, HBO was biased and cheerleading.

He was hurt in the 5th twice, and that's why he went down both times.

bozo, you're in the extremely small minority here thinking that all knockdowns were legal.

it's not us you should be worried about.
