I spoke to Al Haymon last week and he told me that Charlo didn't want to fight GGG next either.

Why don't you give both sides of the story.

Maybe we get Jermall vs Canelo sooner rather than later then... you don't know by any chance if the Fielding fight counts as Canelo's voluntary fight before he needs to defend against his mandatory at 160 by any chance? I mean technically it ain't a defense of his MW title so maybe he'll be allowed another fight before Charlo.
Don't be taken in by this guy's bullshit.

He may have some knowledge of what's going on behind the scenes, but he is a WBC/PBC shill who's only purpose in posting here is to mislead people like you.

I have caught him telling outright lies more than once, but his usual method is to mislead by being selective with the truth, which is what he's doing here.

Ask him if "the WBC" also told him that Charlo was ready and willing to fight GGG next, instead of his mandatory shot at their title.

If he was, then how come nobody knew anything about it?

If Canelo can take his pick of either GGG or Charlo after Fielding - whether they fight each other or not - then the WBC ordering GGG vs Charlo - with the winner to fight Canelo - was meaningless!

Except that it gives Canelo powerful leverage in negotiations for a possible 3rd fight with GGG.

Charlo was never going to fight GGG so no point in seating down waiting.. No ducking

Here is Oscar pretty much telling you GGG vs Canelo 3 is on May 2019

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya, who handles Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs), is not ruling out the possibility of a trilogy fight with Gennady Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KOs) in 2019. Last month at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Canelo won a twelve round majority decision over Golovkin to capture the WBC, WBA middleweight world titles.

Give me credit, man. I've been here a long time. I ain't gonna go running with it til I've had confirmation and time will tell whether the information is on point or not. No reason not to be civil and thank people for information they give though, that's just manners. Honestly it doesn't bother me either way - I know some idiots will run with this and talk about cowards and ducking and ****, but that juvenile crap really doesn't interest me. Makes sense that if Golovkin said he wasn't fighting for the rest of the year and considering his options he'd turn down this fight at the present time regardless of his future plans.

Didn't Golovkin just say a few days ago he thinks it's unfair he's not getting a trilogy and has to wait

I was polite with at one time. But he took my politeness for gullibility and started trying to feed me lies.

When I wouldn't swallow them he accused me of lying and mocked me for wasting my time arguing with him, while he was being paid to argue with me!

Look what he did in this thread .. came in implying that Charlo was only fighting Sulecki because, "GGG refused the WBC order"

He has no evidence of that, and says nothing about whether Charlo was willing to obey the order or not. He is clearly trying to mislead people into believing that the only reason GGG and Charlo are not fighting each other is that Golovkin refused to do it.

No reason to be polite with a snake like him.

I see what you're saying and I'm sure some people will treat it that way, but Golovkin no longer has titles to defend and is under no obligation to fight Charlo (or anyone else for that manner). Sure the usual suspects will claim he's 'ducking' Jermall, regardless of whether or not Charlo was willing and ready, but you should know by now that literally whatever news comes out will be spun to fit people's narrative and that no amount of rational discussion will change that. Frankly I no longer have the time or energy to go around trying to correct all the BS that fills the air here.

Kinda sad to see so many people waste so much time trying to smear a good fighters name, but then most of 'em would say that Floyd and others just got treated the same, and they'd have some justification, though for the life of me I don't get how acting just like the people you thought were assh0les makes any sense.

EDIT: Besides which, we're on a thread claiming that Jermall is ducking Golovkin, which has no justification either, and could equally be claimed to be biased (or trolling) in the opposite direction.

Next means sometime next year. And that is a big "sometime". No need to pass up a way to earn a living since it will have been almost a year or even more between Charlo's last fight - and a fight with GGG, unless he can fight someone in between - and that is if GGG even accepts a fight with Charlo, he may go a different route, and on top of that, GGG has to work out a contract with a new network. Thats a lot of uncertainty and again, potentially one year out of the ring wont work for a number 1 contender who has to earn a payday inside a year's time. A better opponent than Sulecki might be a risk vs reward and may not be worth the risk. Only downside for him is if Sulecki upsets the apple cart.

It's not a duck but fans on this site aren't consistent. If GGG signed to fight Sulecki (who's coming off of a loss) in December the "GGG is ducking OMG" threads would cover the first 4-5 pages of the forum already.

Sulecki isn't a bad opponent but I don't want to hear the fanboys who trashed it as a terrible fight for Jacobs now suddenly act like Charlo is fighting a prime Carlos Monzon.
