I wouldn't mind that fight actually.

I was going to say the same. He doesn't seem like he has the fire or desire to put it all on the line. He's not aggressive enough. Regardless, I don't think he ever was good enough for the top tier.

He's already proven hes good enough for the top tier. He's already fought the top guy and held his own, and at 26 will only get better with each fight.

              He's a level below.

He'll never win another legit title.

To be honest, I don't know enough about Parker or Barry to comment on that. The guy says he wants the biggest fights and says the right names but he seems timid inside the ring when he gets them. Parker seems like a good guy and I see he has talent but he fights timid when there is the least bit of opposition (Ruiz, Fury, AJ and Whyte). There is definitely potential there, and whatever the cause for the under-performing, it is frustrating to watch.

TBH, that's the only fight it makes sense to have in such a remote location, unless he wants to be the next person to add a nail to the coffin of Lucas Brown's career in a cross-Tasman clash. I can't see too many half-decent contenders lining up for the long flight to New Zealand.
Had been wondering what Junior Fa had been up to. Then found out he had fought twice this year already with not a word in the press. I would be very interested in seeing him fight Parker.

That's the thing, NZ and OZ are so far away from anywhere else that decent fighters from around there realistically need to fight away to get noticed. Big domestic clashes between the likes of Parker, Fa, Brown and even old Leapai will get some press but that's about it. They do have sporting ties with eastern Asia from football and Argentina/South Africa from rugby, which can widen the pool of interest a bit.

Povetkin, Ortiz, Miller, Junior Fa, all respectable opponents. Don't be surprised if David Tua steps out of retirement.
