How on earth out of all the triangle theories knocking around anyone can come to a conclusion that Bruno was even remotely near Lennox is astounding.
some people think with their emotions, so if they grew up loving Bruno and disliking Lennox (or even just loving Bruno) you'll grasp at anything you can to support your guy.

      No matter how absurd haha

Luis, Ali, Holmes, Klitschko, Lewis, they all better than Tyson so he can't be top 5. Simple.

Tyson was a breath of fresh air in a dying heavyweight division but lets be honest, he has no real steller wins on his resume. Berbick was a stiff, as was Bruno really. Holmes was shot, and Spinks was there for the cash out as well as being a blown up Light heavy tailor made for Tyson. No way he is a top 5 AT Heavy, personally he doesn't even quite make my top 10.

...because it’s cool amongst hardcore boxing fans to down play how good Tyson was.

Compared to the very best Tyson was a front runner with some quit in him. I can't think of a fight where Tyson came from behind to win. He was counted out against Douglas while crawling around trying to put his mouth piece in. A gamer fighter would concentrate on trying to beat the count and not worry about the damn mouth piece. Against Hollyfield the ref told Tyson if you bite him again you are DQed. A few seconds later Tyson bite him again. That's the action of someone who just wants the fight to be over and not someone willing to fight his heart out to try to win. I believe he could have gotten up against Lewis but he chose to stay down. I don't think Tyson had the fighting heart of some of the other great heavyweights like Dempsey , Marciano, Ali, Hollyfield and Louis. Tyson was very good with great speed, power and accurate punching but I think he comes up short of the top 5 greatest of all time.

I'm just talking common opponents tyso n did better than lennox. Just like Pac did better than Floyd in common opponents as well as other reasons, that's why Pac imo is greater than floyd.
Tyrell Biggs said tyso n was the best he fought also..I've also not implied Tyson greater than lennox

You can’t use this as criteria considering they fought the opponents at a different time

Floyd didn’t get ktfo by Marquez or draw with him. So by your logic Floyd is way better.
He fought all Floyd left overs besides Cotto. Fought Hatton 2yrs after Floyd knocked him out. Fought Mosley coming off a loss and a draw, after Floyd beat him. The only opponent he beat better was Cotto and I believe that was at catchweight Floyd beat him at the full weight. Floyd easily better.

Teddy Atlas recently did an interview with Joe Rogan where he said, basically, Tyson was never a great fighter. The only 5 times he came up against real resistance he folded. He didn't have the spirit of a champion, simple as that. He had crazy natural talent and the intimidation factor but he wasn't a fighter he was just a winner, until he wasn't. He's not even a top 10 heavyweight of all time. He was amazing to watch and has become a big part of the culture but there are much more deserving people who ought to be on that list.

even tyson will tell you that he wouldn't be able to beat lewis in his prime. styles make fights. lewis was half a foot taller, had a full f#cking foot or more in reach, and could hold when tyson got close. puncher's chance and that is it! everything else favors lewis.

again, styles make fights, don't really care if you don't understand what that means.
