One of the poor American journalists posted this other day on twitter then deleted it once it was revealed numbers were similar (but below) the ratings on Joshua vs Parker on showtime.

Eddie also said a similar thing in an interview separately.

I’ve never understood so called boxing “fans” hoping the sport fails and celebrating bad numbers for shows. Those “fans” are the type that don’t go to the shows or support the sport themselves in any way.

If it cracked 50,000 that would surprise the hell out of me
I think your right. I honestly don’t know what a good number so early is, DAZN would have ideas based on other markets it has gone into; but with t doing only fighting combats so far it will be limited you would think.

The first month free thing is great offer though so all about how well exposed they have been - could easily see the 300k ish which has been widely talked about - as watching; but how many convert into a paying customer is a completely different story

Some people on Twitter are his sources. One of them is a well known Hearn hater like myself. Probably just pulling numbers out his ass but I dont think it's far off, probably double It was an afternoon show on a new app most people have never heard. I'm thinking 30k max. Somebody talking about Eddie said it did about what Joshua-Parker did on showtime. cmon bruh

Dude, just in 3 days the Wilder/Fury fight has sold more than 10k tickets to arena that seats only about 18,000 people and that is only at the live gate. It does not include PPV sales. I project the card will sell out and do more than a Million PPV buys around the globe.

No, Eddie leaned on him to take it down but refused to disclose the actual number. That journalist is as good as it gets as far as inside info.

Several sources say it was 15k.
