Hearn said he did numbers lower than.. but in line and close to what he did on showtime in the Parker fight.
You're talking waffle.
Highly highly highly doubt that. Joshua vs Parker live averaged 346k and replay later that night averaged 430k (peak 379k and 483k respectively). No way in hell even with the free month trial did Joshua vs Povetkin come close to those numbers. Now, he could be counting viewers watching it from demand, but even then it wouldn't come close to reaching those numbers.
If the numbers was Great you know Eddie would be Bragging about those numbers to the world...wasn't expected to be big numbers right away it is going to take time to build up the Subscribers for that APP
Inline can mean a lot of things though, that can be used to describe a ratio and not be wrong.
Like Showtimes has X and Y watched so DAZN has X1 so based on that ratio that Showtime had Y1 is inline with that.
That would be called sugar coating what would not be a good number but fully understandable given the circumstances plus if it is on demand afterward probably a lot more saw it in the end.
Mike Coppinger is definitely a moron at times but he was the first to have the details on the DAZN deal as well as the PBC/FOX deal. He breaks a bunch of stuff, far more than guys like Rafael. Even though he is likely off on his figures, it damn well didn't do close to Joshua on SHO numbers. Not even realistic.
I will say after the fight they have been going hard on marketing DAZN. Saw some commercials on the Sunday Night Football game last week and it promoting it all over twitter.
