Franken Warren spitting nothing but FACTS!

    August 31, 2018:

“Eddie and Anthony Joshua would fight Deontay Wilder on September 22nd,” Barry Hearn told IFL TV. “I, personally, my advice was let’s leave it [for] two years. Because as the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight got built – you know, in commercial terms AJ and Deontay Wilder today is a $70 million fight, maybe $80 [million]. In two years’ time, it might be $250, $300 million.”

The risk in waiting two years obviously is that either Wilder or Joshua could lose to another opponent and their highly anticipated fight would be completely devalued.

“That’s where your judgment comes in,” Barry Hearn explained, “where you say, ‘Do I see anyone out there to beat either of them?’ No. Could it happen? Yes. ‘OK, that was a bad call.’ But, you know, life’s about making calls...

But when you plan a business that’s got a 10-year life span, you don’t rush it. I said to AJ, and he asked me my honest opinion, and I said, ‘If you told me you were gonna retire in six months’ time, I’d tell you to fight Deontay Wilder now. If you tell me you’re in for the long run, I’d say that fight can only get bigger. And also, you don’t take chances, you don’t go to the other bloke’s backyard when you don’t need to. The money is insignificantly different.’ ”

Barry Hearn says it him, not his son, that believes they should wait “two years” to make the heavyweight title fight boxing fans want most. The elder Hearn revealed during an interview with IFL TV that he advised Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua to continue building his showdown with Deontay Wilder into a bigger, more profitable fight. Barry Hearn also emphasized that while he is the founder and chairman of Matchroom Sport, his son, the company’s group managing director, has the final say on boxing decisions.

          Warren is so bitter.

Look I would much rather see AJ v Wilder than AJ v Whyte. I would have loved to have seen Whyte v Fury or Wilder too but they did not want that work.

I think Whyte v AJ would be very entertaining much like the first fight but it's not the fight we want.

Hearn has already said the Whyte fight is the back up choice. Team Wilder will deliberately play hard ball in negotiations by not even meeting and refusing offers etc and then when Hearn gives up and makes the Whyte fight they will all go look I told you so they don't want it!

The fact a Whyte loss also gives them an excuse not to fight him as well.

Nobody in their right mind would sign a contract when they have a major fight pending. But apparently there are people here too dense to understand that.

Canelo vs GGG was signed before Canelo vs Chaves, AJ vs Vlad was signed before AJ’s fight.. Yea nobody signs a fight when they have a fight. Fact is AJ vs Wilder is way, way bigger.. why would anyone in their right mind not want to sign the biggest fight in boxing? They asked for a contract.. they got it.. now they are ducking. Is he not confident in beating Fury? He’s been offered a huge deal.

AJ & Vlad did? - That way they can announce the fight in the ring straight after the Fury fight. The contract is signed on the understanding that if you win the fight will take place but if you lose then the contract is void.

By announcing the fight in the ring straight away you already have thousands witnessing the announcement live, plus how ever many people watching it at home & then streaming... Millions of people know about it instantly.

Think of the number of people who will then relay that onto Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc so all their friends/followers will see it... THEN add the world media on top of that... Literally millions of people are aware of the announcement within 1 minute of it being announced.

It's a smart business move if you think about it as it created maximum exposure before the first press conference. It certainly beats just an article on this website and a few others?

I'd rather see Ortiz vs Whyte, than to see a rematch between AJ vs Whyte because we've already seen that movie before lol
