Comments Thread For: Warren: Wilder-Fury Winner Won't Matter; Joshua-Whyte Next

NEW YORK Frank Warren ridiculed Eddie Hearn's demand that Deontay Wilder's team must finalize a deal for a Wilder-Anthony Joshua fight April 13 before Wilder faces Tyson Fury. Warren is confident Fury, the lineal heavyweight champion he promotes, will beat Wilder on December 1 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. And even if Wilder wins, Warren doesn't think Hearn has any genuine intention of making a Joshua-Wilder fight for April 13.

“First of all, I don’t really care what [Hearn] says,”

Yes you do ol fish eyes, I do agree though. He's already KO'd Whyte - while Whyte has shown improvements so has AJ I can only see the same outcome happening again.

Hearns just sent team wilder an offer and they won't meet. What exactly are they meant to do? And you've said fury deserves 50 percent so that's not happening either. Joshua has to move on and the whyte fight is a good match up which I'm looking forward to.

Is this Warren trying to make an excuse for Wilder-Fury being a 2 fight deal regardless of result?
If Wilder wins of course he'd be the number one choice for April at Wembley. That fight makes at least 2-3 times the amount of money than a rematch with Whyte, possibly more - and money's what every promoter's chief concern is and will ever be.
If Fury wins then the point is moot as Wilder will activate the re-match clause that every champ gets written into their fight contracts.

I'm actually believing that Fury is going to school Wilder. It's going to be Joe Calzaghe vs Jeff Lacy-esque.

But then we will get Fury vs Joshua eventually.

Are we really going to still pretend though that Wilder isn't a ****** for thinking that 50/50 with Fury > than offer for Joshua fight?

Wilder looks at the split % instead of what he actually would have made. Oh well, he's going to get schooled by Fury for way less money.
