This is how you do it in 2018. Eddie is the blueprint for this era & beyond for promoters. This old newspaper sh^t & already outdated by the time you get it magazine articles or waiting til a week before a fight to talk to the media thing isn't the blueprint anymore. Sure he becomes a persona himself by this tactic, but people want now now now immediate type attention these days & Hearn is really the only one who sees that in the promotion game.

There is certainly a place for promoters. Promoters built Oscar, Lenard, Ali, Floyd and every other big name. Eddie Hearn got Jacob millions per-fight and two shots at a middle weight belt. He got Andrade a shot at a belt in his first outing. Eddie is a solid promoter that gets his fighters in the position to make things happen. Fighters like Broner do seem to do a fairly good job of promoting A money as a B fighter. The wannabe bad boys may do ok with PBC but the PBC doesn't promote fighters and for that reason they are not for everyone. Errol Spence is a good example of a PBC fighter that can't get a career defining fight at 147. If he were smart, Spence would get a promoter while he's still in his prime.

If he beats Derevenchenko impressively he is middleweight world champion and can sell tickets anywhere in the US. Despite losing to an elite fighter already and not having a fanatic Hispanic following.

        So what do you think?

No he can't sell tickets anywhere in the U.S. and that belt isn't going to help him sell tickets. He needs the right dance partner. And since getting with Hearn his profile has dropped significantly. The most people have talked about him is when he got into an argument with Jermall Charlo. The 3 most talked about MW's are Canelo, GGG,and Jermall.

            F.ucking Hearn

All I do is over pay Fighters , DAZN has tO overpay , AJ has to overpay to get people

It’s funny The only time he didn’t want to overpay and said he had to put his foot down was when he was offering Wilder the AJ fight

Newsflash Eddie Maybe American Fighters with the help of Haymon realize all the revenue streams that are coming in and know their true value making it harder for Rich Kid con artists to take advantage of the fighters

Jermall can't even headline his own show. At least Jacobs is doing that. Jacobs is also fighting for a belt in a few weeks, I doubt we'll even see Charlo in the ring for the rest of the year.

Slimey limey ****! Just because he's a penny pinching piece of **** doesn't mean that all American fighters are overpaid. He acted like he had deep pockets but could only afford to pay crumbs. **** Eddie Hearn.

Pbc overpaying fighters and using it as a pro black propaganda tool. Pbc fighters generate nothing and have no headliners worth anything. Just pushing the pro black USA narrative and using other people's money like Wardell And Reed to the tune of $559 million with no profits to show for it except 80 million deal with fox and showtime lol!

Spent 559 million to get a $80 million contract lol! Haymon is the reason boxing is now wwe in USA. Entitlement fighters who deserve pennies

                  Spence
                  Davis
                  Wilder
                  Charlos
                  Broner

Well the fight of Jacobs' that did the highest ratings was his last fight vs Maciej Sulecki who I doubt alot of hardcore fans care about or even knew who he was/is so it would seem like its increased.

But I wouldn't suggest one fighter proves or disproves someone is doing a good job as a promoter so not sure the point here. That'd be like saying Hearn is the best promoter off of what he did with Joshua or saying Oscar is the best promoter off of what he did with Canelo. Its more complicated then one guy.
