Anyways, after that it was WBA's turn for their mando but they gladly move Canelo ahead as the next contender rendering them the most money.


Now is WBC's turn again but after every fight every Champ of every organization has the right and privilege to fight a an easier fight if he or she chooses to.

"out-land and out-work" are not valid scoring criteria, see...

* clean effective punching
* effective aggression
* ring generalship
* defense

even in the am's, a back-hand or power-punch scores more than a jab

Jabkin should know that, even if you casuals do not

it is more about who wins the exchanges, and who controls the fight... rather than who lands more of something that can technically be described as a punch

Canelo won the exchanges and he controlled the fight

one of those guys fought his fight, the other guy..... did not

and the guy who could not fight his fight, is the same guy who got backed-up and beaten-up

even Golovkin's own trainer admitted that he did not win

you cannot win rounds by landing a couple more jabs but getting backed up and lumped up..... like I said, even the am's don't score jabs the same as power punches and combo's/counters

Oh your correct but in this instance the mandatory challenger is also forced to fight another match to keep his position in the line up. That's not the norm. Whether Golovkin fought Devirachenko it has no bearing, but somehow that is justification for sticking it to Charlo. I'm not even a fan of the guy. I don't dislike him either. Do I think he should have been a challenger for a title shot so soon. No but fair is fair. He did what the WBC required and they should live up to the agreement. I can't believe he is getting so little backing on this issue.
