Slim chance of happening this year but it's a positive direction with regards to them actually fighting. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long.
Russell is an excellent talent but it's a shame he's a once a year fighter these days. He doesn't have the status and I'm assuming fortune of money to be that way. I favor him here in a good, close battle.Comment

A very good fight in the making. Gary Russell Jr takes this one going away. He is the faster, more accurate and throws the better combination punches of the two. Leo Santa Cruz on the other hand, is virtually an arm and volume puncher with basically no speed or power. I just think that fundamentally, Gary Russell, Jr is the more complete fighter of the two.Comment

Good fight but it's crazy how only the WBC is mandating their champions to fight against other champions from other sanctioning bodies. They only do it when its convenient, why don't they mandate all their other champions to do the same?Comment
