Tyson would definetly present problems for Ali; and would wini the early rounds, IMO. Tyson was a short aggressive fighter, so Ali would have trouble with him; but I think Tyson's mental instability and Ali's mind games are like fire and gasoline. Ali by later round stoppage....if Mike didn't try to foul. Ali could play dirty too if pissed off. Look at Terrell.

Muhammed Ali is WAAAAY over-rated by people who dont really follow boxing, but watch it occasionally.

These people have ali hyped up as some kind of god, when he was very beatable. But by boxing fans like us, or even a relatively casual fan, Ali is no where near over-rated

Its easy to pick holes in Ali, and critisize him and his acheivments.

But if u do that t him, u must do it to every fighter. And after that IMO he will still be near the top of the best ever boxers.

People who always try to bring down Ali, saying he's overrated and ****, usually don't say who THEY think is better than Ali and/or who is the best heavyweight ever. Because they know if they do, their favorite fighter will get torn apart too.

You guys are some jokers in here, Ali is not the greatest of all time. Ali is the greatest Heavyweight fighter. But Sugar Ray Robinson is P4P the greatest fighter that ever stepped into the ring. Anyone who doesnt know this need to open up the history books.

His legacy ... Greatest Ever! - I can very well accept this. Although I believe Tyson could have beat him, Ali established his name as a great great boxer, fighter and personality.

But is he, as a boxer, are his abilities over-rated? Often when mythical match-ups are being discussed, the prime Muhammad Ali is being described like an unreal fighting machine who never ever would and could have lost a fight.

What do you think, has Ali become more and more of a myth?
Let Tyson try to get by Buster Douglas before we talk about whether or not he could beat Muhammed Ali.

Oh wait, here it comes, but he didn't have Kevin Rooney in his corner!!!! He would have went his entire career undefeated if he'd kept Kevin Rooney!!!! He was past his prime because he fired Rooney!!!!

I just did. You are right, it says "Sugar Ray Robinson is p4p the greatest fighter to step in the ring" in a history text book I found. They always stress this point in many high schools across the country. Any college student majoring in history knows this fact too.

                    **** the history books.
Who gives a **** what other people say, watch him fight for yourself.
However, seeing few SRR fights, and only clips when he was at welter, its tough for me to say he was the greatest fighter of all time.
How many SRR fights have you seen?

I've watched and read many of SRR fights. You can't have Ali number 1 P4P because as a heavyweight, it is EXTREMELY hard to be rated at the very top simply because on a law of averages, there are a higher number of greater fighters with greater skillsets at the lower weights. I don't think you know what P4P means. SRR fought great competition in more then 1 weightclass building up that ranking. I never discredited Ali's greatness but you can't sit here and honestly say he was the best P4P. You would be dishonoring great fighters by doing so. Monzon, Duran, Armstrong, Gebb, Pep, Sanchez, there are great many more I would rate above Ali on the P4P list.

And Ali at number 1 for heavyweight fighters is not even an immortal lock. Many people will rate Joe Louis higher then Ali. Personally I think Ali possed more skills and was so much smoother add to that a great lecgacy of top fights I would give him the nod over Louis.

It just makes me angry when people say things without even thinking of what they said.
