Canelo would get more love down there if he was darker like Morales or Barrera.

Yeah, I can’t say, because I really don’t know for sure, but I always got the impression Canelo was a big star in his country. The notion that Mexicans don’t embrace him because he’s not darker seems off to me. If anything, his complexion makes him even more popular.
