IT was always $8 million was it not? either way my original post was meant to be for context of the situation; the exact value wasn't important. It was a big financial amount - but didn't include Joshua within contract - wasn't the point.

Simply put - he certainly wasn't being greedy because he got offered big money for that fight, but then was that because he risked even bigger money by taking it - or not?


Obviously he has fought Ortiz and fury (scheduled) so two not bad alternatives. Outside of those though Whyte has to be the biggest other opponent other than AJ he can fight? I mean if he took on Whyte after fury he would be going into AJ fight with three big wins and not only a much improved resume Burbank also much better preparation?

Wilder could try to get neutral judges and referee but it's still a bad idea. It's better as champion to make the Englishman come to America and be at a disadvantage.
