He might get off on a technicality... but looks like Saunders is fighting this with 2 different excuses/arguments
1. He can take as much Oxilofrine as he wants except the day of the fight as its allowed.
2. He took it by mistake in this imaginary nasal spray he has (Oxilofrine is not used in any nasal spray).
So why even bring up nasal spray if he didnt break the rules in the first place? Because he knows that he got caught using the same type of drug Canelo got caught for, a stimulant used for weight loss, of which would be most beneficial taking during training camp. He doesnt want to admit he took it intentionally, even if it would be technically allowed.Comment

He claims its in a nasal spray.
This is bull****.
Go on and google "oxilofrine nasal spray".
You will find they don't make a product with it. Oxilofrine is chemically similiar to drugs used in nasal sprays like ephedrine and oxymetazoline, they know this, which is why they are claiming it. But you wont find a product using oxilofrine. oxilofrine is only used in performance supplements as a stimulant.
Same with clenbuterol, its used as a bronchilator for asthma but not in humans anymore and Canelo doesnt have asthma anyways, thus the tainted meat excuse.
Saunders is the biggest hypocrite ever. He got busted using the same type of drug as Canelo and now has his own bull**** excuses.
VADA president Dr. Margaret Goodman notified the parties involved in a letter obtained by ESPN:
"The results of the analysis are as follows: Adverse. Urine specimen number 4248408: oxilofrine detected. Note the following is also contained on the laboratory report: 'Opinions: oxilofrine may have resulted from the administration of ephedrine which was also detected but below the decision limit of 11ug/ml. The estimated concentration of ephedrine is 4.6 ug/ml.'"Comment

If I didn't know better, I might have thought you had a clue what you were talking about there.

Oxilofrine and ephedrine are two different chemicals. The bolded quote there is just the testers saying since they found ephedrine, but within the allowable limit, perhaps the oxilofrine was from the same source (and perhaps a nasal spray which they do make using ephedrine).
Ephedrine does not convert to oxilofrine nor is it the same thing, if that is what you are trying to say. There are also no nasal sprays that I can find that have oxilofrine on the label.Comment

And how would you know whether Oxilofrine is found in nasal sprays or not?Comment

Not "oxilofrine may have come from the same source as the ephedrine."Last edited by kafkod; 09-27-2018, 09:43 PM.Comment

I have allergies and there are only about 3 different drugs used in nasal sprays. There isnt that much variation out there.
Go google it, find me one that uses it, because there isnt. Its not that hard to look.Comment
