He made Joe look like a ham and egger

i had no idea they were the same weight class in the Ams. Did Maxwell have a growth spurt or something? He's massive compared to Loma

Sam’s always been tall and skinny, even more so as an amateur, he’s filled out a bit more now. He’s actually fought Loma twice both times in the WSOB. They both fought at lightweight then Sam moved up to 64 kg around 2013 I think

And Fury fighting Seferi and Pianeta is the equivalent of sparring a couple of crash test dummies.

Still, here's hoping Fury-Wilder is a hell of a fight.
So your argument is that because he claims to be an age and there is a possibility of lying...then he is lying? How does that make him any different from anyone else?

Every time when we see a Spanish athlete now we think he is that little league kid from the Dominican Republic who was like 25? lol. People who played ball against Satchel paige were amazed at how good he was. He would never tell them his real age, only that he was in good condition because he stayed away from Fried foods. But there were no films of Paige... there is plenty of film of ortiz. So his age is not so mysterious my friend. He is in his late 30's which can be a good age for a heavyweight if: they stay away from the fried foods.

Totally agree, this is why I said he deserves more money when he finally fights AJ, he now has finally step up his competition, something he hasn’t done for 38 odd fights. This Fury fight is an easy fight but it’s also a lot of pressure on him. People expect him to dispose of Fury easily, not because Fury is a bad fighter but because this is the worse Fury he would be getting right now. So in a way it is a risky fight for him.

Who knows. I'm certainly not saying it's 100% that he is lying, but I will cast doubt on how genuine it is.

Hell, Manute Bol got away with playing college kids when he was 150 years old - the anecdote of his "Manager" literally making up his age, is f**cking hilarious.

It's a bit like the buscones in baseball. Everyone knows that the vast majority of players coming out of South America (DR, Cuba etc) give a slice of their earnings to buscones to get them stateside, but very few get found out. It's the lack of ability to catch these guys out on the action that undermines our ability to understand just how rife it is, in a court of law definitive way.

It is what it is. We'll find out in 20 years when the anecdotes come to the surface.

He gets a hat tip, for sure. And it's a step up from the years of mediocrity beforehand. But let's not go overboard here.

Same here. I felt bad for Wilder when he tried to fight a quality opponent like Povetken who ended up testing positive for PEDs. Then idiots tried to blame him for it.

People said he would duck Ortiz. He signed to fight him, until Ortiz and his diabetes meds postponed the fight. Then the same idiots tried to blame Wilder again.

Wilder fought Ortiz later and came back to KO him after getting outboxed and hurt himself. Then Ortiz went from a boogieman to a 55 year old diabetic, according to the same idiots.

Meanwhile, Hearn and AJ are playing games trying to avoid him.

Wilder is not a technically good boxer, but he has power and heart, two things I really like to see in fighters. That's why I'm a fan and he has my support.

Sky completely dominates the tv market in this country and further dominates the sports sector, hence the reason you get so many deluded idiots regurgitating all this Sky Sports propaganda.
