Povetkin is better than Ortiz

First thing that needs to be said here is that Ortiz only outweighed Wilder because he is 30lbs overweight. Get all that flab off his belly and Ortiz could make CW easily.Yeah I see that you conveniently omitted the fact that Joshua outweighed Povetkin by some 24 odd lbs or more and still almost went down from punches from him. That makes a huge difference. While on the other hand, Ortiz outweighed the 214 lbs Deontay Wilder by some 30 odd lbs and still couldn't so much as get him off his feet.
He ate more punches from Ortiz than Joshua ever did from Povetkin and still didn't go down. As compared to the contrary, almost every flush punch Povetkin landed on Joshua nearly dropped him.
So there you have it. Ortiz is the bigger puncher between himself and Povetkin and Wilder has the better chin of the two between himself and Joshua.
Povetkin flattened Mike Perez, Takam and Duhaupus. And I mean flattened them - as in, laid them out cold on the canvas. Perez and Takam had never been stopped before. Duhaupus went 11 rounds with Wilder and never looked like going down, despite being caught clean multiple times.
Who has Ortiz ever KO'd to justify rating him as a harder puncher than Povetkin?Last edited by kafkod; 09-24-2018, 08:41 PM.Comment

Clearly I didn’t make a triangle theory 😂😂 if I did I would have compared Wilders fight vs Molina to Joshua’s.but for real if you wanna do the he beat him better than the other guy nonsense......
Ortiz squashed tony thompson... same tony thompson who destroyed price TWICE and the same Price who wobbled PEDvetkin and made povetkin struggle a bit
and he beat jennings faster than Wlad did, who wlad went 12 full rounds, struggled a bit for some reason, same wlad who dropped AJ
thats according to your frame of mind
cuz real boxing fans know triangle theories dont work in boxingComment

Ortiz had Wilder out for 9 rounds even though he didn't hurt him until the 7th and Wilder ended it in round 10?Bullshit! Ortiz had Wilder out on his feet until the 10th round of their fight. It wasn't until Wilder buzzed him with that counter right hand that got Deontay back into the fight and ultimately finished him off.
You are really talking out your ass man! Ortiz had Wilder in trouble for nine rounds by throwing haymaker after haymaker and power punch after power punch. If you don't believe me go back and review the tape. Wilder was badly concussed since that seventh round where he was nearly decapitated.
On the contrast, compared to Povetkin, Outside of the few punches Povetkin landed on Joshua, he looked gassed, off balanced, uncoordinated, lacked defense and with a bad chin. Moreover, due to his lack of size and power he wasn't at no time any serious threat to AJ.
You don't even know what you're saying any more do you? You're just spouting the maddest things you can think of.Comment

If the two were to rumble today Ortiz fucks Alexander Povetkin up big time just like Anthony Joshua did but sooner because he's off the juice now and is well past his prime. Ortiz weighs 240lbs compared to Povetkins 220lbs.You don't know what facts are. In fact, with this load of nonsense you keep writing, you don't know anything worthwhile about boxing either. Ortiz can't get Jennings out of there in 3 but he easily does so with a much superior fighter in Povetkin? God you Wilder fans are beyond bottom of the barrel.
The size differential as well as the power differential would be to great for Sasha to overcome. Ortiz is a much bigger puncher than Joshua.
Joshua has to land combinations punches in order to score knockouts. Where as Ortiz just connects and lands to knock guys out.Comment

Ortiz would do absolutely nothing better than Joshua or quicker. Nothing other than the delusion in your mind claims so.If the two were to rumble today Ortiz fucks Alexander Povetkin up big time just like Anthony Joshua did but sooner because he's off the juice now and is well past his prime. When Joshua lands clean, the vast majority of fighters get rocked badly, go over, or get put down and out. When Ortiz hits anyone with his best shots most of the time they don't even budge. He can get rid of a few complete bums, but some of them hang around. Jennings is his best win but he lasted until the 6th with Ortiz landing quite a lot of shots. If that was Joshua, Jennings would be put to sleep. So stop with this nonsense, it's boring reading the words of a crazy person.
Ortiz is off the juice now and looks like ****. He can't last 2 rounds at a decent pace without gassing badly. Against Povetkin who is a much better finisher than Wilder that spells curtains for him.
The size of Ortiz would be too much even though Povetkin lasted until the 7th with Joshua, and went the distance with Wladimir? Stop smoking crack will you. Just stop it.
Ortiz hits much harder than Joshua? Get the **** out of here you're trolling hard, man. You're a lunatic. See you later.Last edited by Sid-Knee; 09-24-2018, 08:52 PM.Comment

Of course he did. That's not bad for a notorious doper and PED user. He was juiced to the gills when those fights happened. There were no mandatory VADA testing back then when he was laying those guys out cold. If there wasn't any testing for this fight, undoubtedly he would knocked Joshua out cold with his lying cheating ass. That's why Wilder refused to fight him because got popped for his PED use.

Povetkin has a better resume and is ranked higher than Ortiz by The Ring, Boxrec, and every sanctioning body except the corrupt WBC, so why wouldn't he?at one point he was, i would say, a better fighter. he's got a better resume. but povetkin had taken a lot of punishment. age aside, as i think ortiz is older than he says and surely older than povetkin, there's a lot to be said about milage at HW. you take a ton of punishment in that division. povetkin took a hellish beating against klitschko, and he'd been a top contender at the weight for a long time and fought a lot of bigger guys.
when you add all of this stuff together with the size and style difference, the left handedness [which is becoming more common at HW but rarely are the lefties big punchers] the fact that ortiz was undefeated, i think it's frankly pretty obvious who was a tougher fight. people seem to forget that povetkin gave up 20-30 lbs to a guy who looks like he's carved out of wood. shave some of that flub off of povetkin and you're talking about 30+ lbs of muscle and bone that means a lot!
and ortiz performed better, he had wilder more hurt than povetkin had joshua. as to be expected, he was a fresher fighter and better at the time due to everything i laid out. again, in summary, significantly bigger [bigger than wilder, actually,] left handed, harder puncher, all of these things he has over povetkin.
curiously, why would you rate povetkin higher or think he'd be favored over ortiz or less of a dog than ortiz were he matched with joshua in march instead of wilder?Comment
