Floyd Mayweather, Jr.Idiotic post.
So you want to see someone you hate not only move up, but fight the #1 guy in the division?
Don't you morons think that is a mismatch? Which other fighter do you ask the same thing?
Charlo only had to fight a one-legged opponent when he moved up and you were okay with it. Yet you want Golovkin to fight Ward, eh?
Don't know why you morons keep perpetuating this nonsense. It's de****able.Comment

no..im saying...how do we know a 30 year old canelo, fully acclimated to the division, wouldnt beat a 30 year old golovkin? we dont....we wont......how do you know canelo hasnt peaked yet or fully adapted to fighting MW's?Of course a 30 year old Canelo would further put a beatdown on a 38-39 year old Golovkin.
Let’s reverse the age what do you think will happen? Will it not be a factor?
Wilder is the closest example as they have similar careers at 30.
But in general no pressure attacker got better at 36 than when they’re younger. No fighter has gone better when they lost speed.
So basically all of them are examples. With the exception of hopkins — style wise it’s a terrible comparison.
Name one pressure attacker/ offensive fighter that got better at 36. Please
Since you don’t think it’s the same with GGG. Suddenly he reversed the process? lol
Just because the competition got better late in his career doesn’t mean he was also better version of himself.
He lost a step or two, and it’s not enough anymore to beat the young lions. Just like Pac at 36 not enough to beat crawford.
GGG performed well at 36. But let’s not base everything there
like i said...canelo gave golovkin too much respect in the first fight...2nd he did not....he gave him much respect because canelo didnt know if he was truly the killer everyone thought golovkin was...and he didnt know if he could take golovkins punches....2nd fight he wasnt afraid of golovkin....how do you know that a 30 year old canelo in 2 years isnt an even better MW than the one we saw saturday?
and im not basing everything off a 36 year old golovkin...but how good he really was years earlier? we dont know because the guys he fought were/are kinda trashComment

[QUOTE=dibzvincent143;19120630]i know you dont wanna take the word of golovkins message board fans...but when his resume was questioned they said "dont judge him yet...he still has plenty of time...he hasnt been in wars...he stays in great shape he could prob fight till his late 30s/40s"....this is what many of them said when his resume was picked apart
So you gonna take the word of very fans you hate instead??? Their narrative didn’t change as they love GGG, it is the neutral observers that won’t deny he’s lost a step or two. Everybody does at 34-36.
You can read it here and elsewhere as well.
When was 34-36 considered young in this sport?? Who was better in 34-36 than they were in their physical primes?
This is a physical sport, this is a young man’s game. Speed kills in this sport and he lost a lot of it and he’s not even moving up in weight. So it’s not a weight factor, it is just aging. You telling me you get better when you lost a lot of speed? Mehh!
We cannot gauge for sure, but we can estimate and use logic.
And wilder is one good example since he’s also destroying cans at 30 yrs old.
I repeat, is he gonna get better at 36 instead when he steps up his comp? Hmmm
the minute he started struggling they cried hes old....yeah i do get it...nobody is the same at 36 as they are at 30....but its no excuse....just as golovkins fans predicted canelos head on a stick after the first one...they ran their mouths again(although much less because some deep down saw what was coming and already began making excuses beforehand)......and now they wanna cry age
golovkin didnt get old...he ran into better competition...one who is a pretty good fighter...and another who is a very good fighter who is peaking/on the rise and was coming up in weight and gave him too much respect(canelo did fear golovkins legend a bit the first time).....Comment

Which other fighter? Hmm, didn't Ward move up to light heavy and fight the #1 guy in the perceived killer Kovalev? Just sayin.....Idiotic post.

What they said: anyone from 154-168Most of your fellow hype job bunboys asked Floyd to fight GGG @160lbs. Floyd never said 147-160lbs like GGG 154-168lbs. either. I didn't want GGG to fight Ward until I heard the anyone from 154-168lbs. so that's on them for talking **** when they had no intentions of fighting outside of 160lbs.
What they meant: anyone from 154-168 as long as HBO approves, as long as we dictate all terms, as long as we get the lions share of the money and as long as your name isn't Andre Ward.Comment

They won't even ask Jermall to fight Jacobs
let alone a Ward-level fighter at a higher weight.
Standards are very low when it comes to their fighters doe.Comment
