Briggs has been around for quite sometimes and it's about time he take big risks if ever he wanted to be on top.

It works both ways, it's a bad move if he loses but it may also be the best move of his career if he defeats Wlad. This is a Championship belt or retirement fight for him.

Fighters like Briggs is what we need today to pump up the HW division. Fighters who are not afraid to put everything on the line. No craps, no HYPES, no bul****s.

it's a great move for briggs., if he loses so what? the point of his comeback is to be the best, if he loses oh well, but if he wins it's huge

well, if this fight goes down, at least we have something to look forward to in the heavyweight division.

i'm not really into rahman vs maskaev, especially since it's going to be a ppv event. this is not a fight worthy of ppv pricing unless it has some serious undercard pull to it.

is anybody looking forward to lyakhovich vs mcbride? i'm sure as hell not. if mcbride manages to win, i would be surprised if i don't **** my pants.

although briggs hasn't fought noteworthy comp lately, he is an exciting fighter and this match up sounds like it would be an entertaining one.

still, it's too bad the other title holders are tied up. well except for valuev, but king is being extremely cautious with him.

How is this a bad move for Briggs?

He wants one last crack at a title, he's a big puncher, and he'd be fighting the Heavyweight with the weakest chin.

If he was smart, he'd look at this as a two round fight. Go in there guns a blazing, and try his hardest to score an early KO. If it doesn't happen, go out on your shield. If he were to take that approach, he'd have a 50/50 chance.

This is a roll of the dice for Briggs, and there's nothing wrong with that considering where he's at.

WTF?? briggs has been fighting nothing but bums for the last 3-4 years, he doesnt deserve a title shot.... and now they're afraid to match him with another bum(darroll wilson) who beat him 10 years ago...

50/50??? thats being generous, even if he takes the guns blazing approach.... i agree he has chance to beat wlad(better chance than toney), but calling him even money with wlad is kinda strong...

He'd give anyone even money to beat Wlad, If I fought Wlad and he didn't know who I was, he'd give me even money too lol

I think that "guns blazing" would be the end of Briggs, brohem.

He went out there and did the windmill against Okine, and I was thoroughly amazed at how much Okine sucks.

he was unable to pick off any single one of Shannon's punches. What I also noticed, is he doesn't have the handspeed he used to. He telegraphs his punches and it looks like they're all over the place.

After the first round of his recent fights....he gasses out and starts fighting like a guy competing in a toughman bout.

He's degressing as a fighter, and it's to the point where he reverted back to fighting like an amateur.

But of course he does have a punchers chance, and the chance that Wlad runs out of gas.
