It seems to me that Al Haymon is the biggest mover and shaker in the sport of boxing today. It's no wonder he's so hated and envied.

This is good news and a good move for boxing fans. Now we will be able to watch some of our favorite fighters competing more than just once a year given the extra dates by both Showtime and Fox.Comment

Nothing wrong with matches like Ortiz/Molina. In fact those are fun match ups that should be happening on FS1.
But with more dates, you will be getting some Garcia vs Rios type of match ups. That isn't going to stop. This will just give FOX better match ups then they have been getting and the close to double the dates will help keep fighters more active.Comment

PBCs yearly schedule may look like this.
-Monthly Showtime Championship Boxing level Cards (at the least 12)
-FOX Marquee Match-ups (10)
-FS1 (12)
-Bounce TV (4)
-2 PPVs (1 FOX/1 SHO)
So, at the least you're looking at 26 Top Level Events (That's basically a top card every 2 weeks.)
Not to mention FOX with prelims to their cards on FS1/FS2.
So, PBC will give up to 40+ cards a year.Comment

Off on the SHO cards. Increased budget isn't going to result in less cards. They average around 15 right now, so you can up that number to ~18.PBCs yearly schedule may look like this.

Yes, you are right. Fox and Showtime are going to adopt the HBO business model by giving their stars like Sergey Kovalev a very short shelf life.
