One of the hardest combat styles in terms of risk where sometimes people die accidentally in the first trainings

At the end of the day I'm a fan of all forms of fighting. I even dig sumo wrestling cuz of how rich the history is even if it is a very basic & limited form of "fighting" thats more like body arm wrestling then fighting + a big fan of how they tiered up their sport, which I think boxing should do, to make it max competitive.

But yea Muay Thai has some pretty fun fights & I've seen many a Muay Thai bout in my days so I dig it. Have never done it cuz I haven't kicked a mfing thing since I was in karate in 4th grade doe.

I think it's more deadly and savagery than boxing tbh. I respect Muay-thai fighters and the sport.

This man here is a known beast, he has over 200+ fights

Its easier to have lotsa fights if you are a badass Muay Thai guy cuz they only go 3 to 6 rounds usually.

And obviously there isn't as much money in Muay Thai as boxing or even MMA so if you wanna make a living in it you gotta fight more. If this cat was a boxer or MMA guy he'd probably have far less fights.

Muay Thai is a good style for infighting. Kicking trees isn't much fun, but you need to do it, shin to shin contact doesn't feel good at all. I still prefer a grappling style like Jiu Jitsu for being that close

Just in general. I have been told that most of Muay Thai fights are won with fists. So anyway fists are very important in Muay Thai too.

For self defense I heared several times that pure boxing is the best.

Once a guy from boxing came to the Muay Thai training, and he said that boxing training was too monotonous.

I'm a BJJ guy but I train with a few Muay Thai guys who use BJJ for their MMA ground game... received wisdom is that the grappling arts are probably your best bet for self defense (though I am, naturally, a little biased), but also that boxing is about the quickest route to being able to defend yourself effectively.
