Just in general. I have been told that most of Muay Thai fights are won with fists. So anyway fists are very important in Muay Thai too.

For self defense I heared several times that pure boxing is the best.



Once a guy from boxing came to the Muay Thai training, and he said that boxing training was too monotonous.

you kidding?) Muay-thai fighters prefer to win with knees and kicks, if you are in thailand. you wont ever outpoint an opponent by punches there.
