At the end of the day though, Usyk and Loma at the front, it's really all they need lol. When your country has a population of 40 mil and has 2 of the top 4 P4P guys, you make the cut lolIn all likelihood right now is the high watermark of Ukrainian boxing for the foreseeable future. The Olympic class of 2012 was a once-in-a-lifetime golden generation. Maybe if Anatoly Lomachenko moves back to Ukraine and starts coaching kids again it could be repeated
And don't sleep on Gvozdyk. He's taking Donny's crownComment

Yeah they are doing brilliantly right now. Just don't see too many young prospects coming through to replenish the ranks after the current crop starts to declineComment

Cuba should not be included. They have NO pro boxing. Their amateur boxers are supported by the state and are really their pro boxers. They win tournaments because it's their pros vs true amateurs. If Lara was in Cuba he would be fighting as an amateur. What amateur from another country would have a chance to beat him?Comment

Even though many Eastern European countries were relatively recently a part of USSR, not all of them were.
For instance Bulgaria, Romania. Some are debatable if they are Eastern Europe of central Europe - Slovakia, Hungary, Poland... All those countries were never parts of Soviet Union. And they all have distinctive boxing schools (maybe except Slovakia)Comment
