Crossing over in terms of being a mega star? I mean doubt Crawford ever becomes one himself. Lomachenko is still able to bring in very good ratings. Same with Crawford…. As long as they don't fight on ESPN+.

This is where Spence has a chance to become a name with the fighters on "his side of the street." That's one reason I think Haymon is fine with the Mikey fight. Ideally he wouldn't want to do that, but he knows Mikey could help Spence's popularity. He can get Mikey, winner of DSG/Porter and Thurman before the Crawford showdown. While Crawford fights exactly who?
Exactly. Out of all those welters, one is guaranteed to become a superstar. Plus, you have the Charlo's, Wilder, and so on and so on. Put those guys on network TV on the regular and somebody is bound to emerge.

Wilder to me is done with network TV or even regular SHO for the most part. He beats Fury and he is a PPV from now on out, especially if that fight does good numbers. Because then we are either looking at the rematch or the Joshua showdown. So he could be busy with those two fighters until 2020.

As for the Charlos, time for them to headline before we can talk about them being stars. The time is now. Jermall has a shot at becoming one if he gets the winner of Canelo vs GGG and beats them. He's unfortunately on the wrong side of the street with the top names at either HBO or now DAZN.

I agree on both counts. Wilder is the next PPV star--depending on how he hypes the Fury bout and then how he performs.

Charlo's are on the verge. Love Jermall but I really don't know who he can fight next.

Doesnt mean much when the majority of fight fans pay a bill of some kind just to get “boxing on free tv”.

Yes, boxing fans pay a bill of some kind....But I'm telling you, for FOX you wouldn't need to pay a bill for anything. Get yourself a TV with an antenna that show local channels and you are set.

Why would I go backwards when I dont have to? You seem to be missing the point.

What exactly is your point here? That there is no such thing as free boxing? If so, of course it is true. But boxing on FOX will be as free as it gets.
