All this was from Espinoza's interview with Coppinger.

What I took from the interview was that they definitely got a boost in their boxing budget and Espinoza wants to put on a few more cards next year. He also wants to do more in the production area with short documentaries or what not to highlight the journey of these fighters.

So what are we talking here, the budget goes from 45-50 million to 55-60 million? I think that is a fair estimate. But as to your post on the breakdown of the amount of shows put on, this would be my best guess.

    SHO ~18 shows
    FOX ~6 Primetime shows
    FS1 ~12-15 shows

And I have no clue if this FOX deal will or will not include those Tuesday or Thursday FS1 shows. So Haymon should have 24 big money SHO level cards along with around 15 lower level cards. Now, they could still be higher than the current level of FS1 cards, but just unrealistic to expect big license fees for those cards. I would have to think the ratings would have to improve greatly for FOX to invest big license fees for those cards.

Haymon, if I am right on the new estimated budget from reading that article, should have around the 90-100 million budget you stated.

    SHO 55-60 million
    FOX Primetime 25-30 millon
    FS1 15-20 million

So yeah, if FOX gets six primetime shows, then Haymon should still have a bigger budget than he has now for the FS1 shows. So the quality can improve there. Just won't reach SHO level, but that's fine. Impossible to put on 35-40 high level cards a year. Look at some of the crap ESPN is putting on to fill their slots.
Add a few more primetime shows to Fox. I think you're being a little pessimistic.

I think 6 FOX cards is a fair estimate. Maybe two more tops, but I just don't see 10 shows.

You wouldn't need cable for FOX cards.

Even with six FOX cards plus SHO adding a few more with an increased budget, we are talking around 24 SHO level cards. That's damn near one every two week. Not bad at all. Then you have to take into consideration how many DAZN and ESPN well be putting on and you wouldn't want to have dual cards on the same date every time out.

Oh yeah, you can add likely two or three PPVs next year as well with Garcia vs Spence and either Wilder vs Fury rematch or Wilder vs Joshua.

I think you see more than six. Add Showtime and FS1 and you’re set.

At this point, DAZN and ESPN are left fighting for the scraps. I think DAZN gets the better fights. Arum is sorta trapped in because he’s got nobody for Crawford and Loma isn’t ever gonna crossover.

You may see a few more, but I wonder if they want to see the ratings for the first few cards before adding more? They can plan for six and then have an option to add a card or two afterwards?

Lomachenko will be fine. He's still able to get names more so than Crawford. He was able to get Rigondeaux and Linares back to back. And before that has gotten Walters/GRJ/etc. Crawford is in a tough situation since every other top WW minus Pacman is on SHO. Only way Al sends a WW to ESPN for Crawford is if Arum sends one of his top guys to SHO. So hypothetically lets say Crawford vs DSG happens on ESPN, then Arun would have to send Lomachenko to SHO for Mikey, or Zurdo for Benavidez. But if you are Al, you want to build Spence and make sure he gets all the names. You don't want to give up the winner of DSG/Porter to ESPN, you want the winner to face Spence. So yeah, in the mean time Crawford will be fighting Benavidez and the Mean Machine in his next two fights.

ESPN simply doesn't have the stable to put on enough quality shows with the amount of dates they have. Both ESPN and DAZN will hope a lot of mandatory fights go to purse bid and try to get those fights on their networks.

Nah. Come on, that’ll be agreed upon beforehand

Regarding Lomachenko, yeah he has opponents. But he’s not crossing over and he’s not in his prime either.

                  Crawford? Forget it.

That part doesn't necessarily need go be agreed upon. They can have options to add more I believe. But then again, I can be completely wrong here. Far from an expert on how these network deals work.

Crossing over in terms of being a mega star? I mean doubt Crawford ever becomes one himself. Lomachenko is still able to bring in very good ratings. Same with Crawford…. As long as they don't fight on ESPN+.

This is where Spence has a chance to become a name with the fighters on "his side of the street." That's one reason I think Haymon is fine with the Mikey fight. Ideally he wouldn't want to do that, but he knows Mikey could help Spence's popularity. He can get Mikey, winner of DSG/Porter and Thurman before the Crawford showdown. While Crawford fights exactly who?
