Poor attempt. Its like trying to say one of doughnuts in the box was free.

FOX is free. Over the air. You don't need cable to watch FOX. If you choose to go pay for cable, it doesn't change the fact that FOX is offered for free. My free donut doesn't cease to be free just because I choose to also go out and buy a dozen donuts.

Either way. I hope they keep it up. And i hope we get a pure understanding of who top ww is by end of next yr. Including crawford fights. No more excuses and NO MIKEY VS SPENCE. Other than all that i am glad they on,a roll so to speak. Well with fighters on showtime championship boxing atleast. The fox stuff is usually lame

Most boxing fans already have cable though. Doesn’t matter if you need it or not. We have had cable subscriptions for decades. What part of that is so hard to understand? Or are you guys cancelling your subscription just to get free boxing over the air on your digital antennae? You dont even know any boxing fans without cable or internet. You guys are acting like the overwhelming majority of boxing viewers are not already cable subscribers. “Free” was just the buzzword to make it seem like PBC was doing something unheard of. In the early 90s we didnt call boxing on NBC on Saturday afternoons free boxing.

I’ll have to see how much my basic cable package is.

PBC events on Fox, NBC and CBS did MILLIONS OF VIEWERS. Most of whom clearly weren't watching boxing before. The power of network TV is that you attract people who wouldn't watch otherwise.

All this was from Espinoza's interview with Coppinger.

What I took from the interview was that they definitely got a boost in their boxing budget and Espinoza wants to put on a few more cards next year. He also wants to do more in the production area with short documentaries or what not to highlight the journey of these fighters.

So what are we talking here, the budget goes from 45-50 million to 55-60 million? I think that is a fair estimate. But as to your post on the breakdown of the amount of shows put on, this would be my best guess.

                    SHO ~18 shows
                    FOX ~6 Primetime shows
                    FS1 ~12-15 shows

And I have no clue if this FOX deal will or will not include those Tuesday or Thursday FS1 shows. So Haymon should have 24 big money SHO level cards along with around 15 lower level cards. Now, they could still be higher than the current level of FS1 cards, but just unrealistic to expect big license fees for those cards. I would have to think the ratings would have to improve greatly for FOX to invest big license fees for those cards.

Haymon, if I am right on the new estimated budget from reading that article, should have around the 90-100 million budget you stated.

                    SHO 55-60 million
                    FOX Primetime 25-30 millon
                    FS1 15-20 million

So yeah, if FOX gets six primetime shows, then Haymon should still have a bigger budget than he has now for the FS1 shows. So the quality can improve there. Just won't reach SHO level, but that's fine. Impossible to put on 35-40 high level cards a year. Look at some of the crap ESPN is putting on to fill their slots.
Not all that bad of a breakdown. FOX will have an budget that increases $50 million. The thing I'm not sure about is if there will be 10 FOX cards or just 10 championship caliber fights. That will change some of my numbers.
