I see guys like crawford and loma as all time great potential. Elite to me is just below that with guys like spence and danny garcia, porter, who I think are really good fighters but dont see the ability to dominate an era/other elite.

But ceawford hasnt really proven nothing yet, pure eye test, lomachenko is schooling everybody though.

^Top 5 in the sport at the moment.

I see a lot of talent in these young cats though.

The future is bright for the sport of boxing.
I put Inoue over Santa Cruz, but other than that we have the same top 5.

I would add Mikey Garcia to that list as he always gets the job done. I think Usyk is right there as well and Inoue is knocking on the door.

elite = Canelo, 3G, Crawford, Usyk, probably Lomachenko

world class = Lara, Jacobs, Umbongo, Dorticos, Joshua

This. Boxing isn't like cutting off different sides off beef. You can take a precise approach sure, but the sport has room for a... more barbaric approach.

Spence is slick to a certain extent, might not have the feet of a trained ballerina in Loma and have the smooth footwork of Crawford but I consider the upper body movement of Canelo ‘slick’

I guess it depends on how you define the words elite and special.

To me Wilder isn't elite. Too many flaws, too beatable. But he's arguably the hardest puncher in the sport P4P despite starting to train boxing at a later age. That kind of talent is special, how could it not be? He could potentially win any fight at any point, even against boxers who are better than him overall.

Then you look at somebody like Mikey, who doesn't change it up much or show great punch variation but has great technique with almost every shot he throws and has excellent timing. He's one of the 10 best fighters in the world and clearly elite, but I'm not sure I'd call him a special natural talent.

Crawford certainly looks the part but then so did fighters like Khan and Donaire till they were tested.
