Charlo is nothing and he wouldn't fetch you a dime so why mention him. Jacobs wanted him to boost his profile a little bit when he never had chance to be in a title fight but dropped the thought immediately he got the IBF opportunity.

I see no reason why GGG should be scared of anyone in the division. He holds nearly all the belts for a reason.

Top 4 is the peak of the mountain right now and everyone else is kind of just “there”. Charlo has a better name than most the lesser ones but he should really be trying to make meaningful fights to separate himself from the crowd.

No ****. GGG is a businessman too even if he won't admit it. He could have fought Derevianchenko in May but that is a high risk fight for little money that if he lost would have put the massive payday against Canelo in jeopardy. Fighting an inactive 154 pounder like Vanes carries no risk of that happening. I'll put it this way, if you had a choice between a guaranteed 20 million or an IBF belt what would you choose?
