I think its silly to say he wasted his prime somewhere else. It makes it seem like he could just come to America and fight when it isn't that easy. Not a big deal.

Well that's your opinion mate. You already stated "I don't like GGG" this thread is a discussion of him so don't get involved surely? I wouldn't chime in on a thread about someone I didn't like waste of time isn't it.

His career was managed poorly in the beginning. For his first 6 years as a pro, nobody knew who the hell he was.

Imagine a 25 year Old golovkin with hbo backing and a better trainer then Sanchez. Say for example it was ggg who knocked jacobs out instead of pirog at the time he could have had a truly great career instead of a good one.

Its a shame to say the least.
WTF are you talking about? Golovkin turned pro late and had to work his way up with his boot straps. None of that matters as he's about to make MW title history you dope.

Exactly bro spent a good part of his 20s in relative obscurity.

If you watch the open workout from last year golovkin shows a brief look at how he used to fight, as he starts shadowboxing watch his style. I dont why he didn't do that in fight abels made him robotic at times.

I agree with everything else good post bro.

Strange isn't it his shadowboxing looked quick and on point with head movements level changes etc but in the fight he seemed slow no head movement. Just laboring no real urgency.

I think both men held back somewhat to ensure a rematch/trilogy i think the draw was pre planned and the only thing was both fighters didn't quite have as close a fight as they were supposed to put on to make the draw believeable to the masses ggg held back on power but didn't stop the pressure which tired canelo.

I might be wrong just a feeling I had. I don't think Golovkin was wary of nelos power at all he was holding back

I swear after watching fight it seemed really fishy to me. NO BODY PUNCHES I MEAN REALLY. GGG can walk through a clean right hand hand but too scared of counters to throw body shots when Canelo was practically begging to get finished on the ropes....FISHY ASF

There's no doubt had Canelo fought a young GGG even at his prime now that GGG would knock him out.
GGG won a silver medal, he used to be a lot harder to hit and an even better boxer.
It reminds me of Stevenson vs Badou Jack..I like Jack..but he couldn't beat a 40 year old fighter convincingly..no point in a rematch.
