Cut the bull****. The WBA ruling is there for everybody to read for themselves. What he was told and what he claimed he was told are two different things. Again, you're not finding my contradictions, you're finding Hearn's contradictions.
If they didn't give the WBA a date, the worst thing that happens is the WBA starts working on setting up a purse bid. Giving plenty of time for Wilder to sign on Friday. No matter how you spin it, there was time. Hearn simply didn't want the fight.
It says AJ must give them the date for their mando "with immediate effect"Comment

Nope, after a few days he was told by the WBA that he had to fight Povetkin next.
It was only then that Hearn said the terms of contract still applied for a new date in April 2019.
Hearn and SiBella, Wilder's promoter, recently finalised a fight between Jacobs and Derevyenchenko with a blank date. There was no reason why they couldn't have done the same with AJ and Wilder.Last edited by kafkod; 08-24-2018, 01:22 PM.Comment

And? Hearn lies on IFL all the time about things people could easily verify themselves. The average IFL viewer just takes what Hearn says at face value. It's not like they're fact checking him.
And? If he doesn't? They start the process for ordering a purse bid. The letter was meaningless. The WBA knew the date already. The letter was just done as a favor to Hearn. It says AJ must give them the date for their mando "with immediate effect"Comment

First of all, he wasn't told anything by the WBA. He told the WBA what to write in that letter. Second of all, it would have taken weeks to hold a purse bid, so there was plenty of time for Wilder to sign Friday if Hearn had agreed to a 2018 date.
Because there was language guaranteeing the fight was next. Hearn refused to put similar language in the Wilder contract.Hearn and SiBella, Wilder's promoter, recently finalised a fight between Jacobs and Derevyenchenko with a blank date.Comment

First .. you didn't see either of those contracts so you are in no position to tell anybody what was or wasn't in them.First of all, he wasn't told anything by the WBA. Second .. if you are going to descend to that level of childishness - see the bolded - then there really is no point carrying on this discussion with you.Comment

You are always interested in wilder taking more money than he deserves than seeing the fight proper.Of course you're not. You're not interested in anything that proves your position is illogical.
Clearly it's not enough because Wilder has turned down 15 million for April.
You could say the same thing about AJ turning down 50 million. Why doesn't he just sign? It's the amount he asked for.
But you are first to claim hard core boxing fan when great matchups are mentioned.Comment

First, you have no idea what contracts I have and haven't seen. Second, Hearn admitted there was nothing in the Wilder contract guaranteeing the fight was next.
There's nothing childish about recognizing that Hearn asked the WBA to release that letter, just as Hearn asked the WBO to revoke Povetkin's mandatory status so Whyte could count as a mandatory fight in April to delay the IBF's claim.Second .. if you are going to descend to that level of childishness - see the bolded - then there really is no point carrying on this discussion with you.Comment

Hearn claimed 15 million was 37.5%. If Hearn is honest, why not just offer 37.5%? He would have accepted that. The truth is that Hearn wanted to rip off Wilder and knew the fight would draw way more than Hearn claimed, and he wanted to make sure Wilder didn't get his fair share.
Flat fees never happen in fights this big. Unless you're trying to kill the fight.
Have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I'm not even a fan, let alone a hardcore fan. I'm just doing my job. I couldn't care less who fights who or who wins. I just want an undisputed heavyweight champion because everyone in boxing makes more money when there's an undisputed heavyweight champion. But you are first to claim hard core boxing fan when great matchups are mentioned.Comment

Where did you get this information from? Besides, who says wilder is worth more than 15mil?

I wish to agree with you on this but the money in question far far more enticing for a fighter of wilder's pedigree. Maybe he should be offered 30% just for the fans but that's far beyond his worth, TBH.Comment
