Dude is you serious. Crawford is no where close to the money the PBC fighters are making. Garcia, co-promote his events. Have to pay no Promotional fee, and get a percentage of the gate. The same for Thurman, and Spence. I like Crawford, and he does have skillz. But they have to be displayed against someone who can at least challenge him.

PBC fighters realize the boxing game is about the money. The way social media is today, they can build up their own brand. ESPN and T.R has gone out their way to put T.C on top of the Welterweight list after beating no skill having Horn. I mean seriously.

But what I don't understand is this. What is a promoter percentage per fight, if it's the promoter (Company) that is paying your purse on that fight???

Arum has never been the obstacle to making big fights. It has always been Al Haymon. The idea that Arum prevents big fights is simply a lie made up by Al Haymon to use an excuse for his fighters always ducking Bob Arum fighters. Loma calls out Mikey, Mikey ducks him, but they try to cover it by saying, "actually it's Bob Arum's fault, he will never let the fight happen." In reality, Arum just said Loma and Mikey can fight in March. And it's always been that way. Arum has made the big fights going back to Leonard-Duran. I blame him for marinating Juanma-Gamboa but that was because Juanma wasn't good enough to win, and Arum knew it. He didn't want to ruin his Puerto Rican star in order to build a Cuban star, due to the economics. I don't like it but Haymon does that kind of stuff ten times as much, and that was a unique circumstance with Arum due to Juanma having no defense and being Puerto Rican.

Loma, on the other hand, Arum believes will beat Mikey, so why would he not make the fight? Like I said, it's just an Al Haymon tactic to mislead his gullible fans.

You don't understand how it works. The promoter isn't taking a percentage of the fighter purse when they fight on their own shows.

Crawford makes more than Garcia, Spence, Thurman, Porter because of what TR pays him. Top Rank paid him 3,000,000 for the Horn fight. He doesn't pay Top Rank anything from that. That is what they agreed to pay him and Jeff Horn got 1.25 mil for that fight straight to him.

The percentage you talk about is when a fighter fights on another promoter's card. Like when Jorge Linares fought Loma, Top Rank paid Golden Boy 1.2 mil for Linares. Golden Boy and Teiken share a cut and the rest went to Linares but that split was negotiated on a per fight basis by Linares manager and GBP/Teiken.

Danny's promotional company is just a tax shelter for his money. He doesn't do any actual promoting. It is to pay less taxes. He doesn't promote any fighters. It is no different than what Juan Manuel Marquez had with his promotional company or Devon Alexander, etc, etc.

Haymon guys get paid good but they aren't always the highest paid.

Would you as a boxer feel comfortable fighting on espn against a fighter with an espn deal and a promoter that is also exclusive to espn for the next 5 years? If you would, cool. Most of us would be worried about a manny/horn type decision.
