I stand corrected. I forgot that Trinidad was ranked #2 @ 160 after having just one fight at the weight.Eh, NO.
Hopkins became Lineal with his win over Trinidad.
The "Undisputed" title is a matter of opinion. Hopkins won the WBA title to add to his IBF and WBC titles with the win over Trinidad. So, the question is; did he need the WBO title to be considered "Undisputed"? It doesn't matter anyhow as he would go on to win that title as well.
That said, these are all accomplishments your hero has not and, in all probability, will *never* achieve..Comment

Lit gee is a product of the HBO and boxing media hype machine. I have never seen a fighter get so much credit and have so many members of the boxing media behind them despite having such an underwhelming resume.
It's been years of them trying to make 97G into a star and to paint him as some sort of ATG. Too bad people see through the hype and choose to support real ATG's like TBE.

The WBO wasn't a fully recognized world championship until 2007. Prior to 2007, a fighter had to hold the WBC, WBA and IBF titles to be the undisputed world champion. Hopkins was already undisputed before he fought De La Hoya. He didn't need the WBO to be undisputed.I just checked Hopkins record and he did not have all the middleweight world title belts until he beat Oscar and won the WBO belt. That means Hopkins was the undisputed middleweight champion for only ONE successful title defense against against Eastman. He was NOT the undisputed middleweight champion for any of the other 19 successful title defenses.Comment
