Comments Thread For: Eleider Alvarez: In Rematch, I'll Beat Kovalev More Convincingly!

Earlier this month, Eleider Alvarez (24-0, 12 KOs) made a huge statement when he knocked out Sergey Kovalev (32-3-1, 28 KOs) in seven rounds to capture the WBO world title in Atlantic City. Alvarez, who most saw as a big underdog, boxed very well in the contest and then closed the show when he dropped Kovalev three times in the seventh round to force the referee stepping in to wave off the fight.

Not so sure. I remember you were losing that fight.

But you can win again because you're good.

Kovalev is going to push for an immediate rematch, which is probably his best bet. We’ll see what we see, can’t wait.

They didn't invite you to join the Oleksandr Usyk's fan-club? What a bunch of weasels, I respect you.

Who knows, maybe kovalev will be more warry of the power and fight a smarter fight instead of leaving his left hand down, and putting out lazy jabs. Or maybe Alvarez has him all figured out and Kos him faster the second time. Alot of possibilities.

                Yeah he probably will tbh.

Kovalev was never really the monster people liked to portray him as. He doesnt have any hallmark wins and has been exposed enough times now.

                Hope alaverez burys him.

I wonder if Kovalev actually will exercise it, they have 47 days before it expires.

He is better than all the fighters from Argentina in the last 10 years.
