The thing is he wasn’t. Homer HBO and their bias towards their fighter is so obvious. They talk up a fighter just enough to convince people their fighter is winning the rounds. However I had a Álvarez clearly up prior to the KO. HBO and their judges can eat a bag of ****sComment

Kovalev fans make more excuses than the Pac turds. the guy was winning on all cards but as soon as he gets laid out he didn't train properly, he was gassing and all this other dumb sht. just give Alvarez his respect.Comment

Plus, they still seem to actually respect boxing as a sport in foreign countries, to the point where many there actually view winning an Olympic gold medal in the amateurs (which pays very little money) as more important than going pro to make millions. Whereas the American boxing scene, post-Floyd Mayweather, seems to represent the attitude of, "F the sport, F the fans, boxing is just a business, milk as much money as you can out of the sport from as many cherry picks as possible with as little risk as possible, then get out of the sport. I dont have nothing to prove by fighting that foreigner, I already proved everything, it's not about the fans it's about taking the least risks possible and getting paid, if that attitude destroys the sport then so be it, I don't owe anything to this sport, plus it always survives anyway."
So, what do you expect? Fans of the SPORT of BOXING actually prefer BOXERS who still view it as a SPORT and are still interested in competing to be the best in their division and giving fans the fights they want to see, rather than boxers who just want to milk the fans out of as much money as possible without ever giving them the fights they want to see that will prove who the best is.
The only similarity between Usyk and Kovalev, whose countries are actually at odds right now, is that they both give fans the fights they want to see. It turns out, that's the one thing that matters the most, so of course real boxing fans will be drawn to them both because of that, but there are also others who do that as well.Last edited by Boxing Logic; 08-18-2018, 05:07 AM.Comment

Yup. He looked hella good in that 4th round also, like he had trained very properly and looked like he wanted to try and son Alvarez. He just happened to be fighting a guy who was not afraid of him and also who is very skilled. Alvarez took it, Kov didn't give it to him. Peace.Comment
