Its the same reason I admire the guy. He went after Ortiz when the other heavyweights wouldnt even mention his name. Whats also incredible is that he's a twig with the power of an oakwood tree landing onto a house! Coming in the ring btwn 207 & 220lbs each time out isnt particularly heavy for a heavyweight, and to come in their with that uncanny power could only come from gamma radiation lol.....look for Wilders skin to turn a skinny metallic green when he fights fury: Episode 2: The skinny Twig vs the Lanky Tall Gypsy King!....

I enjoyed Earnie’s career but he could not defy the laws of physics. His KO percentage against big heavyweights was not impressive

He could dish it out, but he couldn't take it. A murderous puncher, but relatively frail. Ron Lyle was another monster, probably a bigger puncher, definately more rugged.

He honestly is, Shavers stands over him cause his momentum carries and instead of looking at holmes he's paying attention to shavers. Had he been looking at holmes the whole time(because it took him a second to move, might have been ruled a KO.
It was like watching Wrestling in the day when you think the undertaker is knocked out and he just rises again.

              Styles make fights....ask Ali.

You have a good point. I shouldn't have called Joe over-rated. I just hated his style I guess, and never thought he should have beat or even been close to beating Ali. I think the prime Ali (64-67) would have beaten Joe clearly.
When Foreman demolished him I guess is where I was thinking he was over-rated. I was shocked that Ali beat him. Foreman did the same to Norton. He looked like a monster to me at the time, yet wasn't what I would call incredibly skilled.
