Considering Foreman vs. Frazier i think Shavers would have knocked Frazier out. Shavers is all wrong for Frazier too. And Foreman vs. Shavers would be a war, maybe like foreman vs. Lyle.

Ali should have retired after Frazier 3 .

He was not the same in 77 where signs of brain damage was showing , he fought Ali in 77 after a brutal Norton fight added to the Frazier ones !

I dont think his punch resistance improved as he kept fighting . It probably was the hardest Ali was hit given his deterioration .

I remember reading Holmes autobiography and he and shavers with playing cards in camp......the balloon went up....Holmes said 'nobody wanted to fall out with E' ...! ...I wonder why....lol.

E. is true , he fought them all ....the others didn't want to know.....Hearn and AJ. would of course run a mile!

Shavers would have about a 20 % chance at Frazier only bc he could punch .

Shavers wouldn't see the 3rd rnd against Foreman ,his chin wouldn't hold up to a puncher like that .

Shavers built his reputation on hearsay and knocking out over matched guys ,with no social media era he was the boogeyman for a long time thats why both Frazier and Foreman avoided him in certain time span but when you ACTUALLY look at his record did he actually want legit fights to set them up when he could have ?

It was not until the mid 70's he fought better competition and he got knocked out by the first puncher he faced , Quarry .

By the way, Quarry was not known as a big puncher. Shavers just lacked the over-all skills needed to compete with the best in the 70's, other than Frazier, who was terribly awkward and over-rated.
