I'm not taking any sides here, it looks to be 6-and-1 where these two are involved. They are both to blame for this not happening.

Charles Martin was #9 in the world at the time. Joseph Parker was #6 in the world at the time.

Povetkin will be AJ's first top 3 or 4 opponent. Wilder already has two wins at that level.

AJ has the better overall resume, especially once he beats Povetkin. AJ deserves to be ranked #1 in the world. But he's never gone into the ring with one of the absolute best before and his promoter did everything possible to keep him out of the ring with the #2 fighter.

The WBO title is a very distant fourth. Parker struggled with Andy Ruiz, who has beaten absolutely nobody. Look at what Parker did against Cojanu and what King Kong did against Cojanu. There's no doubt King Kong would be the betting favorite against Parker.

Parker was a good win for AJ. A smart business decision. A relatively safe unification. But don't pretend Parker is one of the absolute best heavyweights in the world. He's lost two straight and would likely get knocked out by Wilder and Ortiz.

So you are a Wilder's protector. You support him screaming 50/50 or no fight and pricing himself out, disgusting.

I think his screaming 50% is really for show only but I do think he deserves 40% Why? Because other than Joshua he's the main man. He brings value to Joshua that Joshua will not realize in a fight with anyone else. Why should Joshua be the only one to benefit from the added value Wilder brings. It is a shame that fair and objective people are "disgusting" in your eyes. Shame on you!

Beating Parker is more valuable than beating King Kong because Parker had a recognized world title (albeit the least recognized), but most experts consider King Kong the more impressive win as Parker would be unlikely to survive against him.
