Jerry Jones apparently bought 9000 tickets to Spence-Ocampo (he ended up selling more tickets than that to cover the investment); if you think that Errol didn't see a piece of that, you're silly.

Maybe it wasn't haymons plan to take over. The media said that not haymon. His lawyer actually said pbc was intended to increase competition. which it has done

The problem with that though is that even if you make more with Hearn on a yearly basis due to volume of fights, it might only be like 10% more money for 2 or 3 times more work. not many are going to sign up for that in any walk of life.
The thing with the volume of fight is for at least the top guys, they get their two fights a year even now. So if you start paying lets say Broner 3 million per fight, what makes you think he will want to fight three times a year? He will be perfectly satisfied with two checks of 6 million for the year and call it a day. It is a myth that these top guys fight more than two times a year anyways. Just check out the ones making good money and tell me which one of them fights three times a year. Lets exclude guys like GGG/Canelo, so then we have Lomachenko. He got hurt, but he was only going to fight twice this year. Crawford? Only twice this year. Broner? Fought twice last year and will probably get another fight before years end. Mikey Garcia and Errol Spence may be one of the exceptions if they face off before years end, but usually they would be at two fights as well. Wilder? Twice a year. Even if we do count GGG/Canelo, they fight twice a year. Canelo only one this year but obviously he has the Mexican holiday dates locked up.

The activity would help those that want to fight more but only get one fight a year. SHO makes sure the top guys get two fights a year if they want it....In the cases of Thurman/GRJ, they are perfectly fine with one a year. That's on them.

Exactly one of the things people don't understand about haymon is hes basically a fighters Union. Anyone who wants his fighters have to pay crazy money especially for the top guys. Anytime you do get one of his fighters he negotiates the contract. And if that promoter acts up they can always go back to pbc. He gives his fighters leverage at every level. That's why a lot of guys leaving are middle level fighters because they are getting paid more and always have haymon in their back pocket if things get strange with their new promoter

Haymon has been great for most boxers, 98% of them seem happy. A lot of them have been able to turn down a great payday from other promoters and go it alone. More power to that.

The additional check Haymon writes out?

For example; Keith Thurman’s purse as reported to the Florida State Athletic Commission in conjunction with his July 11, 2015, PBC fight against Luis Collazo was $1.5 million. But Thurman told Dan Rafael of ESPN.com that Haymon gave him a check for an additional $1.2 million.

The purses filed with the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board for the Aug. 15, 2015, PBC fight between Antonio Tarver and Steve Cunningham were listed as $250,000 for each fighter. But Tarver is said to have received a total of $500,000. And a source close to Cunningham says that the fighter was paid an additional $100,000 as an advance.

                      Haymon makes them part owners.

                      Fat Eddie doesn't get that.

They also get paid based off of tv #s.

Which is the issue in Wilder vs AJ.

Wilder DOUBLES Aj in U.S. tv #s. The brit a don't get that. They don't get that US #s drive sponsors and dictates the price.
