There are definitely fighters only getting one fight per year:

-Abner Mares (Bigger name than most B-siders) 3 fights in 3 years

John Molina Jr - Zero fights in 2018, one in 2017

Jermall Charlo - One fight in 2017 and he wasn't happy about that. Will soon be a headliner so inactivity won't matter then.

Austin Trout - Two in 2018, but one in 2017 after a 17 month absence. Said a few times that he was fine and healthy and just waiting for a date

Dominick Breazeale - Zero fights in 2018 so far. At best will get one. Won't be called for mandatory shot for at least until end of year at earliest. And even if so, Wilder can elect to unify vs Joshua.

Josesito Lopez- Three fights in three years

Lamont Peterson- Two fights in three years

Rances Barthelemy - Two fights in two years

Terrell Gausha - Zero fights in 2018, at best will get one

John Jackson - Zero fights in 2018, at best will get one

Shawn Porter - One fight in 2018 (Not true B-sider but still)

So yeah, there are plenty of high B-siders and just other not as well known fighters that are inactive. I didn't even want to include guys like Arreola who may or may not still want to fight.

Abner, Jermall, Austin Trout, and Porter all voluntarily sat out, waiting on big fights or title shots. Dominic Breazeale has a big fight coming his way too. To that, you can also count Josesito Lopez being the likely opponent for Keith Thurman.

Lamont Peterson would likely fight every 100 days if you let him, but who knows about the rest of the guys

You can tell Haymon cares about and takes care of his guys. When you treat them as more than just a commodity they stay loyal to you. It says more about the people that hate on him than it does about the man himself.

Jermall wasn't happy at all from sitting out so long. Made comments saying I don't know why it took me so long to get a fight. Trout made comments on twitter saying he's healthy and ready to go and was just waiting for a date before he fought Hurd. Don't think he chose to sit out 17 months.

Breazeale won't fight this year then? He's not getting mandated until later this year, and the fight at the earliest will be next March or April. So you think he's fine with just doing that?

Even if Josesito Lopez is waiting for Thurman, three fights in three years speak for itself. Not like Lopez is a big money earner like Thurman where he gets paid more than enough to just fight once a year.

Again, I'm sure some of them may be okay with being inactive, but that isn't the case for everyone. They simply have no choice with the limited dates. SHO had 15 shows last year, guys like Charlo/Porter/etc aren't fighting on FS1/Bounce/FOX. So it really limits them. Just unrealistic to keep everyone active when you have 200+ fighters unless you have three big networks backing you plus outlets like Bounce/FS1.

You think all of them are fine fighting as little as they have been? If you want to say the likes of GRJ/Thurman choose to only fight once a year, I would agree with that. But others who aren't making 2+ million per fight? Yeah, they rather be active. Herring/Vanes let it be known they weren't happy so they left. But there has to be a joke there somewhere that Vanes was upset he was so inactive so he signed with Don f'n King. Anyways, guys like Lopez were with Haymon for over 10 years so they aren't going to complain publicly. Heck, he won't complain at all in all likelihood.

Not realistic to think all these guys are fine with three fights in three years or one fight in 18 months or two fights in three years.

They get to be kept as active as their camps want to be, with Haymon apparently not getting a penny until they're to the point that their seeing $150k per fight (basically about where a fighter should be able to pay Haymon his 15% or whatever the number his, pay his trainer and the rest of the camp, pay their taxes, and still end up taking a good sized check to their bank account)

Did he also used to pay for their training camp expenses such as sparring partners etc.? I heard he did but as of late its getting to expensive?

No idea, tbh. It's possible, but who knows (most trainers don't take anything from their fighters until they start to make some money).
