By Tris Dixon - WHOSE side are you on? Who do you believe? In the red corner, there is Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua. In the blue corner are Al Haymon, Shelley Finkel and Deontay Wilder. In the green corner are Tyson Fury and Frank Warren. Three different sides to the same big picture that has a supporting cast of Dillian Whyte, Dereck Chisora, Jarrell Miller and Alexander Povetkin. You can throw Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz into the mix, too...

We may not even see Joshua vs Wilder fight because Fury can shock Wilder.

Heavyweights are supposed to be the golden child of combat sports, and yet it is arguably the least talented division today and the best aren't fighting the best.

      What a joke

Do you miss the Klitschko era?

It definitely not the golden era of heavyweights but in my it is pretty good.

Klitschko era was poor AF, but I'd probably put it above today's HW division. The only thing that can save the HW is Wilder / AJ happening. Fury is finished - even when he was in prime he was a spoiler and not crowd friendly.

Parker and the rest though, bunch of unathletic bums. It's like the only people who want to be HW boxers these days are fat guys who when they hit 20 something years old decide to pick up a pair of boxing gloves to lose some weight and they can't play any other sport

"Finkel countered, saying that he and Wilder had a good laugh over the contracts offered. "

So they are laughing about making more money ???

Makes sense considering what Wilder has managed to generate in 7 title defenses !

I just hope all this Tyson's mounting jealousy and bitterness over AJ success won't push him into a premature Deyonce fight. Top form Tyson or nothing.

                August 5, 2018:

One of the fights planned for Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn’s first American-based DAZN card on Oct. 6 in Chicago is, on paper, a disgraceful mismatch. Multiple sources told ESPN that terms have been agreed to for heavyweight contender Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (21-0-1, 18 KOs), 30, of Brooklyn, New York, to face the long-faded Tomasz Adamek (53-5, 31 KOs), 41, who has not been a serious factor since 2012. But because Adamek, a former light heavyweight and cruiserweight world titleholder, is a hugely popular Polish fighter and the card is in Polish-heavy Chicago he is being fed to Miller, who is on the verge of a world title fight. Some close to Hearn have voiced their concerns over how much of a gross mismatch the fight is.

Trying to get Big Baby a highlight reel KO to set him up for AJ’s US debut. The original plan was for Big Baby to do a better job on Duhaupas than Wilder. In turn justifying a willingness to fight Big Baby in America but not Wilder. But Big Baby couldn’t get it done. So now they’re gonna fight roidless Povetkin. They’re gonna follow that up by recycling Whyte next Apr. And then make the US debut, likely at Barclays late next year. Putting Wilder off till at least 2020.

They just can’t handle playing second fiddle to Hearn. I’ve said this all along.

They’d rather fight a bum and make far less money but be the ones calling the shots, than they would fight a genuine top 5 HW for a career high payday but on Hearn’s terms.
