PBC To FOX?

Yeah, but remember SHO paid for the fight and aired it on CBS. FOX will have to have that type of budget to get big time match ups. If FOX can give say 8 prime time cards and have a budget of say $80 million for both FOX/FS1 combined, that will be HUGE. Even a budget of 50-60 million will be big time since SHO will be in that 45-50 million range themselves.Comment

He won't be losing anyone. That would be great and keep some of these guys a bit busier. SHO put on some very good cards this year but they have a budget so they had to slow down a bit. That's where FOX could come though and take over during those slow stretches.
Espinoza isn't going to be happy losing some of his main guys to FOX though. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Guys like Wilder, Santa-Cruz, Thurman, Spence, Broner, Charlo's, ect can fight on SHO and FOX like they have been the past 3 years.Comment

Sure they can, but he's going to want to air all those fighters fights. That's the point. You think he will want to lose out on a Wilder fight? Even if he fights once on SHO? No way, he has been saying in recent interviews the amount of time and money he has invested in these guys and he doesn't want to lose them.
But for PBC as a whole, obviously it makes sense for them to distribute some big name fighters to FOX to assure good ratings and quality.Comment

The same amount of fights will be aired on Showtime just like the previous years it'll just be more added to the Fox schedule now.Comment

Both are still advised by Haymon. He negotiated those deals. Props to the man for letting the fighters do what they want.
And yeah you said they were leaving. Just like PBC is dead. You got them pegged for sure

Nah Showtime didn't pay for the fight, they paid for the production. Which is no different than the other time buys. NBC paid for the production as well, for instance.Yeah, but remember SHO paid for the fight and aired it on CBS. FOX will have to have that type of budget to get big time match ups. I think 4-6 cards a year on FOX is all they need, similar to what UFC did. Anything more kinda kills the vibe because the show quality gets diluted. Throw the rest on FS1. And of course Showtime gets plenty of big cards and voila.Comment

You're not understanding what I'm saying. So lets say Wilder fights twice a year on SHO. Espinoza could be losing one of Wilder's fights per year now to FOX. Same with say a Spence or Garcia etc. Sure SHO will air the same amount of cards, but they just won't be able to show ALL the fights of their top guys anymore if the FOX deal is indeed official. For the PBC, it's GREAT. But a bit of a blow for SHO. Espinoza was asked specifically if he will let some of his guys go to say ESPN or DAZN for certain fights, and he said he does not want to lend guys like Spence/Porter/Wilder/Garcia who SHO has aired like 10 of their fights and spent 10s of millions of dollars on.
But to me it is great for the fighters as the top guys should no excuse have two fights a year, and some of them three. Some of these guys now will only have one, but that could also be blamed to the fighter themselves as they are content on only fighting once a year.Comment

It was still a SHO production aired on CBS. It was from their budget.Nah Showtime didn't pay for the fight, they paid for the production. Which is no different than the other time buys. NBC paid for the production as well, for instance.

And yes, 4-6 big cards on FOX would be good enough. That to go along with SHO will get us plenty of great fights.Comment
