PBC To FOX?

Interesting if true, but not total surprise. FOX was the only network from the big ones that Haymon had a chance to secure. Lets see if we hear more about this in upcoming days.

And I've thought for at least a year FOX would partner with PBC. They were just waiting for the UFC situation to be hammered out.

Until it gets proven otherwise, I will just go ahead and assume that this means Devon Alexander vs. Jamal James type matchups while Showtime continues to get everything worth seeing.

In 2017, PBC aired 25+ cards on FS1 and I think 3 cards on FOX so look for a similar number if this deal is to become official.

The FOX number will most likely increase. Probably to 6 or 8.

I just seen that the WWE deal doesn't take effect until Oct of 2019.

FS1 is fine, but what I'm more interested in is if the budget increases for the FOX prime time cards. It would be huge if we can get Garcia vs Thurman type of fights on FOX. The ratings for PBC on FOX have been bad, but the type of fights that are being shown at the current moment aren't exactly mouth watering match ups.

The ratings for PBC on FOX have been bad, but the type of fights that are being shown at the current moment aren't exactly mouth watering match ups.

Quarterly show is perfect. Fill it out with FS1 and Showtime in between your big fights each Quarter.

They have been done playing out the string but now maybe they have a new deal. If it is a quarterly show and that is it then its not a big deal. Hopefully they can do more than Devon Alexander vs Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz LOL.

That would be great and keep some of these guys a bit busier. SHO put on some very good cards this year but they have a budget so they had to slow down a bit. That's where FOX could come though and take over during those slow stretches.

Espinoza isn't going to be happy losing some of his main guys to FOX though. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Didn’t make sense to give them those kind of fights until the deal was finalized. Thurman-Garcia peaked at 5.1 million viewers. No question, there will be more fights like that on free TV going forward.
