    I do believe neither guy is the meal ticket yet or big enough to the point where either NEEDS the other. Both are still building their names and fan bases. I think Mikey needs the fight more from a sporting perspective though. He can't beat Spence (nor is he serious) that's mismatch but Lomachenko is generally seen as pound for pound #1 and has a more impressive resume whereas Mikey really doesn't have any wins over elite fighters.
    You say l0m0/linares cost more in his own backyard cuz you trying to shet on Mickey, You say l0m0 is more consistent? For 2 fights? LOL....wow real consistent. You again trying to shet on Mickey. You say they at a point where neither NEEDS the other sounds like a back pedal cuz maybe YOU don't want the fight to happen. They SHOULD be fighting NEXT (after a tune up from the shoulder). So you say l0m0 has a "more impressive resume" but Mickey beat Salido & l0m0 lost to Salido & Mickey is undefeated? Again trying to shet on Mickey to make l0m0 look good....SMH

    These are fights I want to see at 135. Devin Haney, Mickey Garcia, Gervonta Davis, Tevin Farmer & l0m0. ALL mix & match win lose or draw I want to see those fights. Will bob do these fights? NO & you KNOW it while at the same time you saying l0m0 is the greatest ever....LMAO....l0m0 is going to end up being used by bob & a sucker like Manny.

        You don't want to see the sport succeed? The more fights fail the less the budget becomes, the less the fighters fight, the less good fights happen etc;
        happens on both sides man. I see guys all the time on here celebrating when HBO cards draw crap numbers, and I see guys doing the same with Showtime. A true fan wants boxing to thrive on as many networks as possible. Bad ratings is bad for the sport.

        you dont see football, basketball baseball, etc fans cheerlaeading for and hating on network numbers

HBO just may think investing in boxing is a waste of time and it makes more sense to throw money at hit shows like Game of Thrones or what not.
          Showtime has just always been the lower tier Network when it concerns subscriptions / ratings / Popular shows. At the end of the day what Premium Cable comes down to is ratings. Think about this, Jaime Mungia vs Liam Smith did over 800K views on HBO, 2 virtual unknowns with literally 0 promotion. Mikey vs Easter Jr was a Lightweight Unification fight with decent promotion and barely got to 725K views. Had that fight been on HBO even now it would've done over 1 Mill views just off how much more subs HBO has and people who will catch a Saturday Night fight. Showtime's always put on good fights over the years but they're also always played 2nd fiddle to HBO (and even ESPN now) as it concerns views per event. I don't see that changing much either.

            This would be the equivalent of peaking around 950k if the fight was on HBO.
            too many mathmatical variables that would have to be accounted for to make that comparison. you basicallyjust pulled that 950k out the sky

              HBO increased their standards. They split from Top Rank because they told Bob that they wanted better matchups he said "Oy Vey! Hell no!" and took the mismatches to ESPN. Look at the two Ramirez's for a good example. Jerwin Ancajas too, which sucks because all these fighters are wasting their youth.

                Yeah, it seems every thread reporting numbers there's always some lowlife in there bragging that the card tanked.

                I think a lot of boxing fans seem to want boxing to just go away because they can only enjoy a handful of fighters.

                I personally watch every card I can and want every card to succeed so that we get more cards, better fights and boxers get recognition from the average sports fan not just the hardcore.

I've been watching Showtime boxing through their app for the past 2 years.

                    Showtime APP is their focus, why are people still focused on their Network Nielsen Ratings

                    I actually like that APP's take focus OFF of Ratings Numbers ESPN+ don't release any numbers and that is a great. That being said, boxing as a whole is not in the best space in the US right now. The Audience for boxing is not growing in fact the numbers are Declining for ALL Boxing Platforms
