Bottom line, Ortiz is a good heavyweight. Any win over him is a quality win.
Absent a title fight, I want Whyte to fight Ortiz. Why, because this isn't cartoons where you sit back and argue back and forth about which super hero would beat the other. This is sports entertainment and I want to see good fights. I'm not one of these fans that doesn't care about match ups and simply wants to see a guy from my country with a belt so I can brag about it. I want to see good fights. I'll leave the "he shouldn't have to...", "he doesn't deserve …", and the "he only fights bums.." talk to the fan boys who are more interested in winning internet arguments than they are in seeing good fights.Comment

Whyte vs Parker was a great fight!Comment

You understood exactly what I was referring to and it surely wasn't a complaint about the Parker Whyte fight. I'm glad you watch the fights and can tell a good fighter when you see one regardless of who he's fighting. You know, like how GGG was good, yet he hadn't been matched up with high caliber fighters until his last few fights.Comment

Dillian fought Parker instead of Ortiz, and it was great fight. You might have prefered him to fight Ortiz, but I think Parker was a better and more challenging option. You understood exactly what I was referring to and it surely wasn't a complaint about the Parker Whyte fight. As for GGG, he is one of the top 10 MWs of all time, so good that when he was in his prime he made high calibre opponents look like nothing and world title holders like Sturm, Quillin, Martinez, run for cover when he came knocking.Last edited by kafkod; 07-31-2018, 06:50 PM.Comment

Whyte v Parrker was a good match up that I felt would determine the levels of both. They brought out the best and worst of each other. I didn't have a preference as to who Whyte should fight and was shocked he didn't fight Pulev for the IBF mando. Now that he's beaten Parker, would like to see him fight Ortiz for the value of the fight and its impact on the heavyweight landscape. Whyte showed that he's improved since his KO loss and close sc**** with Chisora, an Ortiz fight would definitely demonstrate a higher level of improvement (disciplined southpaw who can ****).Dillian fought Parker instead of Ortiz, and it was great fight. I try and leave all that emotion out of my explanations. These guys don't fight for me nor do they represent me. Wait...who was the high caliber opponent that GGG made look like nothing?Comment
